22 August 2021
The Samsung Galaxy Round was the first phone with a flexible screen, but it wasn't the first flexible phone - that was the LG G Flex.

AlienKiss, 23 Aug 2021He's also a big china brand sympathizer (like this sit... moreYeah, let us lie to ourselves about the quality of Chinese phones because we hate their politics, that will teach them.

The West simply gave up on phone camera quality (Chinese phones have been champs for years) and basically be the first to try new stuff (first foldable was a Huawei phone, Mate X). And that's because of you, because you will buy western phones no matter how bad are they. Their cameras are a joke and lag behind in many things. I hate Chinese politics as much as the next guy, but can't we at least criticize the fact that such a limited regime can allow innovation that is higher than ours? Shouldn't we be critical of the fact that while we have a much better climate we tie our hands on our back and allow them to surpass us?

Take it from a pride point of view. I *want* a Samsung, an iPhone that can outpunch the Xiaomi/Huawei cameras, I *want* Nokia or Sony to come up with a (say) TRI fold design... But as long as it does not happen, I will be critical of them, for despite having much better corporate climate they refuse to take risks, they allow companies from a tyrranical place to surpass them.

Maybe we should refuse buying garbage for once so that we may see western phones outcompete the Chinese ones...

They see 120hz,cheap price, 108mp cam, they buy. Never mind if some aspects were gutted somewhere like bad battery or bad audio, missing ports, built-in chinese spyware etc.

Anonymous, 22 Aug 2021Lots of youtubers made video to say how sad it was LG shutt... moreYeah the pixel 5 was a ripoff back then, midrange phone specs for a flagship price.

Ur probably better off buying the pixel 4a 5G back then(and the 5a 5G today)

I'm on my LG V60 typing this. I had a Samsung s21 ultra and returned it then I got Xiaomi MI 11 ultra and sold it and kept my V60. Know why? LG in every single way was better as in those tiny and never mentioned bits that were of infinitely higher quality. Not to mention the SD card slot the HiFi DAC the speakers that were twice as loud and clear as the others . The adjustable limiters on the high end mics that gave awesome recording audio. All those little things that reviewers never mentioned made the V60 still superior to today's flagships. Believe me, the 120hz refresh was in no way a fair trade for everything else LG packed into this thing. After more than a year and a half I'm still getting minimum 10 hrs of screen on time. When new it was 12 to 14 . Those others couldn't come close even with the refresh rate at 60 Hz . Not to mention my 5g and wifi speeds made the other 2 seem sickly in comparison.

nickname optional, 22 Aug 2021MrMobile [Micheal Fischer] has also good reviews. Mostly agree with that. But then again, his LG V60 review really looked half-arsed and unexiciting. It felt as if he deliberately did that so that he can favour the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold2 (which doesn't win me at all).
