          Depends on your definition of better - Pixel is tiny bit cheaper, it has much better camera, even video capture is tiny bit better, Samsung is plastic, Pixel is metal - both are pros in their respected ways (better than glass anyway).
          If you compare Pixel to Samsung, I do not see how you could come to conclusion Pixel is useless ... if you would to compare it to better spec. competition, it would make much more sense (but that competition might not be available on your market).

Better SoC, better screen, headphone jack AND sd card slot, better glass on the front, faster charging, good cameras, good software and security support and Samsung will get rid of their ads soon. Oh, and let's not forget, actual global availability. The 5a shouldn't even exist.

                                Only iOS from Apple and Pixel from Google are the most optimised mobile OS's so far. OnePlus was also great but can't be trusted nowadays. Same goes for others of that country of origin like Xiaomi.
                                They released Android one smartphones. But their support is lack luster.

Plus, that phone doesn't even have a headphone jack or IP rating.
