Samsung Galaxy Buds2 review

Loud and clear sound at a low price.

"Better yet, compared to the Buds+ the latency is twice as low".... or you could just say "half".

"While the Buds+ had sensitive edges around the touch area, the Buds2 look better, have no rubber "wings" for the ear, and provide simpler gesture controls - press and hold is programmable, while one tap is Play/Pause, two taps are Next Song, and three taps are Previous Song."

Looking "better" is subjective because for me the Buds+ still looks better. Also "no rubber wings" - these wings are actually really helpful in getting the right fit. I even dare to say that the design of the buds+ with the almost triangle edge is better at controlling accidental touches compared to the all round design of the Buds Pro. Oh and also when the reviewer said simpler control - its not actually simpler, it is exactly the same control as Buds+ and Buds Pro.

These Galaxy Buds2 will be the product that will kill Airpods lineup in terms of everything, sales, quality, battery, ANC etc

It is worth mentioning that there is a downgrade for battery life of the new Buds2 compared to the Buds+. Buds+ can play upto 11 hours in 1 charging while the new one can 'only' play upto 8hours without ANC.

The Buds+ can usually last me the whole day from travel to work to travel without having the need to charge them - something i didnt get from the buds Pro which begs me to charge it the middle of the day - plus in all honesty, i really cant tell the difference in sound quality between the 2 older buds. If the Buds2 promises the same sound as Buds pro but with lesser batterlife than Buds+ then id say its just better to get the Buds+ now which sells for about $80 to $90 now.

JdRDMS, 30 Aug 2021"Nothing matters?" Dude I literally just told you... moreIs sales going that bad for "nothing"? Ask bad that you're stopping to this level? "Quality and usability isn't what consumers wants. They want cheap transparent plastic and to outerwear that makes them fit better".

Nothing is a con job. An Internet hype to make some easy money for a guy who's out of ideas.

AnonD-762416, 30 Aug 2021If nothing matters, the nothing matters and you're bet... more"Nothing matters?" Dude I literally just told you. Comfort is not nothing with earbuds. If they hurt, then they're gonna deter people from buying them. That's a big issue with the Galaxy Buds Pro. The Ear 1 are not fantastic, but they're at not bad at all, especially for a first product and their respectable price. Of course quality is important, but these are earbuds, so design and comfort matter a lot. Your post sounds like a joe nodden post. You're just dodging my points and forming a weak argument based on nitpicking my logic or just generally incorrect or stupid "facts," like what he does. If you think the Ear 1 are noticeably more comfortable than the Buds2, they stay in better, and you find the sound and other aspects acceptable, enough to be worth saving the $50, then they will be a better buy for you. If the Buds2 are more comfortable and stay in better, and/or are generally worth $50 more for you, they will be the better buy. Simple.

People do care about quality. The Nothing burgers are mostly hype with poor software and general quality. IF you hate that, which most people do, don't get them. That's the easy solution.

                Such a short review :/

AnonD-762416, 29 Aug 2021Then it doesn't come down to what design you prefer, d... moreYes, but most people won't care about that. Fit and comfort are just as important as sound and features for many people. It's a lot harder to appreciate good sound and features if the earbuds are uncomfortable and/or fall out a lot. If they feel about the same, or they aren't meaningfully different for you, then the price-to-feature ratio starts to be a consideration, especially because both the Ear 1 and Buds2 are good earbuds for their respective price tags.

When the Buds sound better and have better features and software? Then it really comes down to whether you're willing to sacrifice that for 50 bucks.

[deleted post]These are better overall, but Nothing's offer is $50 cheaper. It really comes down to which design you prefer (both in terms of appearance and fit) and if you're willing to spend the extra $50 for better sound and such, and if you want the extra battery life (8 hours without ANC and 5 with it vs 5.7 and 4).
