Reduces weight by around 300g.

Whenever they reduced the size, you're right about other things improving, but heating situation wasn't improved.

Even in game shops in local market, they use older models because it lasts well even with a huge size.

Yeah no surprise that’s why some reviewers found out newer PS5 runs hotter.

Anonymous, 30 Aug 2021Wow, never thought about that Mr. ObviousNo, it's detective Obvious.

Since the OG PS5 cooling is subpar, you do not even have to wonder what will this cost-cutting to.
But that's just typical Sony, you know what you are getting into when you are buying one.

Someone should try using Ratchet and Clank Rift Apart for the benchmark, since it is the only game that really pushes the hardware of PS5.

So yeah itll just be fine considering my OG PS4 Jet Engine is still running until now(ofcourse with maintenance once every few months removing dust, etc.).

Ps5 should go down to history as worst best selling machine, Sony really makes no sense

Something tells me Sony will remove backwards compatibility on PS5 pro/slim revisions in 2023/4. By the time PS6 launches, no disk drives and cloud gaming will be the norm.

If the new model is cooler in the inside because of new fan pushing more heat from the vent, will the SSD drives cause overheating or malfunction?
