It's called "upsetting the Apple-cart"! Announcement the day BEFORE the recently revealed "California Streaming" event could give waverers reason to pause, especially with the threat of restricted volumes. Pricing could be key - we can always rely on Apple NOT to release anything of "optimum value" when they can consistently get away with over-charging for minimal updates!

Oh look it's another Pixel paper launch. Releasing in like 4 countries and probably 3 month waiting for delivery. This will never come out in other markets, or will be so late that it will be irrelevant. At this point Pixel is made solely for Youtubers to make videos about just so Google can keep up appearances that they are still hardware company.

When it's available in so little regions, there is little to no chance the Pixel line will take off and be a household name like the iPhone and Galaxy.

Anonymous, 02 Sep 2021"So little" difference , xiaomi had to set mi11 u... moreXiaomi's comparison on the stage was indeed flawed, as 4s of shutter speed is cumulative and Mi 11 Ultra captures multiple shots at different exposures to extend the dynamic range within that duration. RX100 also has a handheld twilight mode which works in a similar fashion (although unlike night mode on phones exposure setting remains constant while shooting in burst), so if you want an apple to apple comparison you will need to switch to a manual mode, use the same shutter speed, adjust the ISO then shoot in RAW on each device.

And of course, as you might know, when there's no software magic to improve the image quality, sheer light intake and sensor technology are all that matters - I'm not quite sure how RX100 VI/VII could possibly match Mi 11 Ultra in this regard with its rather dated sensor and dim F2.8 lens.

Both set same shutter speed, phone would be put to shame.

I just expect an ultra sonic fingerprint scanner like in the high end of Samsung, a good screen with good brightness levels, I wish it were an LTPO, some good loudspeakers that sound good and loud and perhaps a price not so exaggerated.

Barely any professional photographers use a 1-inch sensor P&S for a living, an APS-C sensor is considered to be a minimum requirement by most of them.

People don't want ridiculous prici... moreConsidering that Google can launch the Pixel 5 with Snapdragon 765G chipset for $700, that might sound unlikely. I won't be surprised if the Pixel 6 Pro is priced among the likes of Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra, Sony Xperia 1 Mk3, and Apple iPhone 12 Pro Max. We'll just wait and see anyway.

Isn't there is a rumour about Google launching Android 12 OS alongside the new Pixel 6 lineup?

Anonymous, 01 Sep 2021Trust me, even here you can find people that believes phon... moreThey just simply don't know that smartphone camera sensors are already being maximized to their best capabilities by means of software enhancements, whereas RAW files from dedicated cameras still need to be processed by the user according to his/her liking to see the full potential of such big sensors.

People should've already noticed this by now given that photographers of sport games still prefer shooting with a high-speed camera like the A1 instead of their glorious "professional" iPhone cameras.

[deleted post]Flagship phones aren't for rich people only. Many poor people have them as well. It is a phone not a luxury house.

[deleted post]I am not all poor. Pixel never released in my country. I am not the one who is going to settle for midrange shit like snapdragon 730G. I want top chipset for best possible price. I already have iQOO 8 Pro and Mi Mix 4 which costed me more than 1000USD to import. Honor and Huawei never released in my country even though I hate EMUI. One Plus 9 Pro had lots of heating issues which ZTE Axon 30 Ultra didn't have. But isn't working on my carrier.

Pricing is the key. People don't want ridiculous pricing for exynos rebranded tensor. 600 and 800 starting price will be good. Anything above that, not acceptable.
