Also, this is tool to boost digital zoom 20, 30, 50 or 100x; no matter if results are worse than old 2MP phones.
Just like when brands put 12/16/18 GB ram, 512/1000GB storage, 120W, 120/144/165/240Hz.
Obviously 100MP phone will never beat 100MP camera. Not just because the sensor size difference. But the lens quality. Many pro lenses cannot resolve resolution that high. For example only few Sony GM lenses can deal with the 61MP pf A7r4 at full potential.

Can we get some kind of International Standards in Advertising please maybe ISO or something to combat the use of pixel binned image sensors giving the impression to people that 108MP or F1.4 on a telephone is anyway equivalent to 100MP on digital medium format sensors. Please explain the technology.
