BlueHeart the illest, 13 Nov 2012Are u effing kidding me HTC????? 16gb non-expandable??? On ... moreCloud man, the Cloud.
I'm not a fan of this either but it seems as though everyone (including Google) wants us to leap off the internal memory cliff and dive deep into the Cloud storage sea. Have you actually read any Cloud license agrement? For the most part, once anyone stores files on some company's servers the company automatically gains the right to use those. This whole Cloud thing rips us off our privacy and unless you're an overly-sharing type you're not gonna like it.
That's not all. Once you're hooked on the Cloud, you'll need Verizon's LTE to stream all of these Ultraviolet 1080 HD movie copies you legally purchased (yeah, right!) to your device. This way everyone's a winner and by everyone I mean HTC, any streaming server owner and Verizon. Welcome to the future. I think I'll get off this planet now...

another quadcore, 2 gb ram phone for the android family,,, for the gullible android community.. LOL!

well.. what to expect? laggy android needs specs same as desktop to run..at least..acceptably smooth!

maybe they will install & run autocad 3d studio max, photoshop cs6, heavy movie editing softwares, etc. etc. on their phones! LOL!

only putting more cores, more ram on phone.., no innovations! Pathetic!

The problem with HTC, from my perspective, is that when their phones are taken alone, they are not bad. But when compared to others, they get consumed in their entirety.

In terms of design, they lose to Sony.
In terms of trend-setting, they lose to LG (they did announce the first dual core and quad core smartphones after all).

In terms of specifications, they lose to Samsung.
In terms of price, they lose to Nexus.
In terms of memory, they lose to well, phones with sd card slots.
In terms of display, SLCD doesn't SOUND nearly as alluring as Super Amoled (although it is strong player).
In terms of brand-associated prestige, they lose to Apple.
In terms of image quality, they lose to Nokia.
In terms of battery life, they lose to Motorola.

Get the picture? As standalone phones, HTC do provide some attractive choices. However, poor after-sales support, software updates, reliability have taken a huge toll on HTC's market share.

Also, why choose to release phones like Butterfly and DNA at select markets only? There's all this hype around these phones but then most consumers soon realize they would barely be able to see these phones, let alone USE them.
