This could have very nearly done it all....
The specs look fabulous. But is it just me or as the years roll on HTC just seem to slightly miss the "The Full House". How quickly will 16GB of storage fill up with 1080p video?? Answer... very quickly. You want to stick a few tunes on for the daily commute... better look again at your 320k MP3's guys...

It's like we can't be trusted to have it all. HTC, listen to your customers!! Stop trying to copy Apple and being tight. I've had HTC over the years, right now I have a GS2 and 4S (work). I have a 32GB card in my GS2 and it is great.

And . . .don't get me started on the battery! I'm sure your customers would have a 2mm thicker phone and be able to actually keep using it than an expensive lump of plastic without power. It can be the best phone in the world, if it dies in under a day then a some point it will let you and you'll have to ask to borrow you Momma's Nokia 6310i... yes you know the one.

Feel much now, still a wicked phone though. Keep it real Dudes.

If HTC REALLY want their otherwise turbo-charged fones 2 sell, it's IMPERATIVE 4 them 2 hav 1. Expandable SD storage 2. User-replaceable battery n 3. Better battery life! Unless HTC sort out these 3 basics they'll always play catch up to Samsung n others! Good Luck HTC!

This is my next phone, it is effectively a turbo boosted micro mini tablet. I hope by the time it is available in Australia, someone would have released an after market battery case. HTC, 2020Amh battery life, what were you thinking????

Krait and S-LCD3 are much more power effecient. So, 2020mAH should be enough to last for a day.

Ludovic, 13 Nov 2012I bought my first HTC this year : HTC One X, had lot of iss... moreExcellent example of what i said many times before, "you only buy HTC once". Too many issues and flaws.

About battery, The One X+ did ok in battery test except standby was bad, i dont think this one will do much worse, maybe better since it probably has no standby powerdraw issue. However, people are tired of those battery times and want a change. I have Galaxy Note 2 and while it has great battery i wouldnt say Note 2 ends the need for battery improvements, only need to up the display brightness and disable all power savings to drain the battery in half a day of heavy usage. Yes its still better than other phones, but not good enough. ANd yes, i need to up the brightness sometims, in some videos even max it out. The only phones i have used that can give great perceivable detail at somewhat lower brightness are Sony/SonyEricsson phones with Bravia engine.

Ok, that was mostly off topic. About the phone in question here, i love the Full HD but the cons are:

                1. Its HTC.
                2. It has HTC Sense.
                3. NO card slot
                4. Virtually no storage.
                5. Processor is good for now but will be humiliated by new Exynos.
                6. Its Verizon and even if it wasnt then nothing can make me buy a HTC again.

Sadly it has 2 problems:the battery capacity, and the internal storage.

HTC just killed their One X+ in the US market , no one is gonna choose it over this monster especially with the same price tag.

As singular phones, HTC handsets are very good. However, when looking at them as a family, I'm now confused. They seem to have one high end X+ with a good quad core tegra, 4.7 720 screen and larger battery. Then they go and create another flagship that is an inbetween generation housing a kriat quad, 2gb RAM, 1080 screen but a much smaller battery. What do people then purchasing these consider the flagship?
