Smartwatch is for notifications and sensors.it has nothing to do with performance.qll they need is 4-5 days battery life.

AnachronisticGuy, 02 Sep 2021I think the Qualcomm Snapdragon Wear division needs to have... moreI think they are trying to cater to all price segments with a single platform. Might be a volume issue. A53 is still used in budget SOCs for phones, everything above uses A55. They can do the same for smartwatches. By the way, A55 already got a replacement: https://www.arm.com/products/silicon-ip-cpu/cortex-a/cortex-a510

      Will this help wear OS?

They should use 7nm process which is great for power saving.

not using at least 7nm for wear is a crime.

the Cortex-A53 and A55 are not for smartwatches. They are for phones

AnachronisticGuy, 02 Sep 2021I think the Qualcomm Snapdragon Wear division needs to have... moreBecause they could still sell old design with little to none research. And that's why Samsung went the other way and the other manufacturer keeps getting 4100+ as the messiah when it isn't :P

                Should use Cortex-A35 instead

AnachronisticGuy, 02 Sep 2021I think the Qualcomm Snapdragon Wear division needs to have... moreThat's why samsung entirely switching to exyy is a a good thing and so is google.

Qualcomm is sleeping thinking their CDMA will pour money into their coffers.

I think the Qualcomm Snapdragon Wear division needs to have a hard kick on its rear. Why use a now-outdated architecture, when even the Cortex A55 is going to get a replacement in the near future?
