RaidBoss, 03 Sep 2021Writing this on my Nubia red magic 6 pro the camera is garb... moreIn a market where gaming phones are the ONLY available high end, non Sony phones who still have some features like Jack, bezels, and stuff like that, the fact they are a letdown camera side mean that it literally close a lot of doors for those wanting phones without those awful punch holes/notches and want good photography capabilities.

I am not a pro photographer (who won't use a phone anyway), but I do like photography.
And considering the international variant of the Red Magic 6 Pro had a 5050mAh battery, and that people were bashing the Poco F2 Pro for having "only" a 4700mAh battery, for a phone that is made over-powerful for the sole purpose of playing games with high performances and adding the extra price of a high refresh rate display, sorry but your arguments sound more like excuses than anything else.
It would be like having a SD888+ phone with a 2500mAh battery, and you basically said "if you don't use it too much, and put the display luminosity to the lowest, and also don't put any wall papers, put the display sleep time to the shortest and don't install any extra apps, it will last more than enough".

Mainly with the "childish" part that has absolutely nothing to do with it.
It is a GAMING phone, made for HEAVY games, for LONG sessions, because it is PORTABLE, which is often used during commutes other long period of times.
It would be like saying if the Nintendo Switch drained its battery empty in 30 minutes "if you only play with games that don't take much performances, it wouldn't happen, no need to be childish and want to play the latest games released".

As the specs looks good. Phone will hang, when yr phone heats up sometime the fan kicks in sometime will not, problem with restarting the phone every now and than will just hang, bad software, hardly get any updates, random problems appear everytime.

Anonymous, 03 Sep 2021I wish all flagship phones came with graphite cooling padsPhones have been using pyrolytic graphite sheets for a very long time. It's not exactly exotic tech.

I even have some in the garage. If I need to hack together a through-the-hole circuit really fast, I slap a piece of adhesive pyrolytic graphite on it to keep it from burning up.

Water protection means nothing to me it's a 600$device and I treat it as such. As for battery most games don't need 120hz and u don't have to play games at max settings even at 120hz I get 3 hours in fps games on max settings. 5 hours on med settings at 90hz and get another hour if you drop it to 60hz screen brightness on 50% for all of the above all and all if your be not a photographer or immature child. This phone ticks all the boxes for a gamer.

Ion, 03 Sep 2021small battery...no water proof...bad software update...exsp... moreNo smartphones are waterproof, none are made to be dunked into water, IP rating or not.
You could still see Red Magic with their fan surviving better water spilling or dropping than IP rated phones, because IP rating is not a guarantee at all and electronic survivability to liquids is more complex than that.

As for the battery, well, that's what you get after everyone keep fighting against anything but too slim for years, now even specialized phones are too slim and lack the battery capacity for their roles on the name of being slim.

For the worst camera and expensive parts I agree, and the rest I have no clues.

But a totally cool and must have feature for a gaming phone!

The last phone Nubia released in india was 3 generations ago. Why don't they release gaming phones in india.

                                        Love it! Real beautiful idea.
