Why not just buy it from google Play store for less money. Dont support these carrier mark-up prices.

mick, 14 Nov 2012dont call it subsidized its just realistic price. its like ... morereaslistic price ? when it costs 180 euros in parts and they sell it for 500 ? ok , how much does it cost to make a tv or washing machine ? if it costs 200 in parts for each they sell it for 250-280, not 900.

Americans and the other countries where google play is available are rather rich, why they still need subsidize for buying a phone? =="

It's not subsidized at all, in the UK you'd pay less and get the phone for free + more mins/txts+data.

@200$/Euro + 2y contract there are some better deals around - like the OneX+ and SGSIII, the Lumia920 and even the iPhone begins to sound like a good competitor :)

John117, 14 Nov 2012It s nice to see what a rip off carrier contracts are. and ... moreYou are exactly right on this. In fact, The Next Web had an article on this, stating that Apple actually works very hard with the consumer in mind, and they play hardball with the carriers, where as Google has done the opposite and bend over backwards for the carriers, also resulting in it not having LTE.

A lot of people in the US have purchased these phones just to sell at a much higher price than what T-Mobile is selling them for. That considered, $500 is not the worst price that you could end up paying if you just HAVE to have this phone right away. Google Play would be my first choice.

this nexus will sell with record breaking marks only in the countries which have google play store while the countries which lack will sell less than galaxy nexus coz only 8/16 gb fixed storage with that high price... their strategy is not good since the same phone is released in two different price marks n their difference is too high... the biggest mistake of google that they choose LG without proper commitment about price now the one only got fooled are the buyers... LG was already on the dislike list n now google also moved on that list, fooling its customers n now they also made a threat for the next nexus device, people will think many times before buying any flagship nexus from now

The fact that google play store is not supported in my country sucks. To import this I would have to buy it from ebay (no relatives in other countries with google store) and ship it to where I live, which would cost at least 450 euro. No thanks, I'll just stick with CM10 on my optimus 2x (waiting for a stable build though nightlies are fine) and buy the SG4 when it is released or a tegra 4 phone.

T-mobile has all the best phone promos! At least in my country.. That's why I got an unlocked phone first (can you believe that Galaxy Note wasn't available with any less than a company contract last summer?) and came to T-mob just for the phoneless deal. Before I did that though, I whipped out my trusty calc, crunched some numbers and made sure I was in to save some monayyy! I wasn't mistaken. Whichever contract I picked I still saved tons of cash.

Banutu, 14 Nov 2012I bet by the time it will arrive in my country it will cost... more400 euros isnt too solid if you ask me, if you buy it from google play in germany or france, you would have to pay 349€ so paying an extra 50 for THAT phone isnt that much

Nobody will buy from T-Mobile on higher price. They think many people will not be aware about Google deal, T-Mobile staff gotta be scammers.

I bet by the time it will arrive in my country it will cost a solid 400 euro, too bad I can't buy directly from google so those mobile stores can go bankrupt.
