So For people using phones with 128 or 256 gb of storage, they're gonna have to pay 20 bucks monthly for that much storage on Google Drive. With Samsung's smart switch now supporting Whatsapp as well, they can do this for free and at the same time when they change phones.

Hope they did this 6 months before but, thanks anyways for finally doing it Samsung. Very much appreciated. First smartphone company to manage it in Android ecosystem,even before whatsapp itself solved it!

First, transfer from iOS to Samsung. back it up on your google drive. Then install WhatsApp in any android devices you like and restore chat history from google drive. I think it should work this way ;)
