Mobilemaster, 04 Sep 2021I did not mention crappy 8k which phones can shoot. I know ... moreYou dont understand what for medium format cameras are! People who shot with them dont care for video and Fuji knows that. MF is photographers who cares.

Mobilemaster, 04 Sep 2021I did not mention crappy 8k which phones can shoot. I know ... moreYou are only comparing the resolution without considering the other factors that make up a camera system, such as sensor size, lens quality, and bit rate.

What we are all saying is that 1080p from a medium format camera is superior to 4K of any smartphone camera sensor.
It's not a bad thing at all to only be able to shoot in 1080p, because that 1080p is already more than comparable to 4K of full-frame cameras that cost just as much as this medium format camera. Besides, I really doubt that 1080p from a medium format camera will look terrible on a large 4K or 8K screen at all. If you want to get 4K on medium format camera, you have to pay more because it requires much more processing power compared to 1080p.

            Anyway, I can't believe Samsung's 8K doesn't even get higher than 80Mbps when Sony's 4K@60p is already 90Mbps since last year's 1 II.

I can't believe I lived long enough to see the day when mirrorless medium format is only $4k and weighs 840g.

If G mount lens selection wasn't an issue I'd totally dump my A7 system for this. I will probably do it as soon as more lenses are released. Just wow. This is a wet dream for any landscape photographer.

karthikchandra, 04 Sep 2021Only for people who shoots stills. And also not fast moving... moreExactly. Medium format is about great resolution and DR.

rizki1, 04 Sep 2021price is not right even it says cheap for $3999. lolIf you check how much Medium format cameras cost on average, this is considered cheap.

                    That uses larger/heavy lenses.
Better video skills is not priority.

                    This camera has excellent price.
Medium Format is at least $10.000.

tekina, 04 Sep 2021You forget that this is medium format camera with a sensor ... moreOK, I understand this is more for stills, but only 1080p, when 4k is the standard on TV's(you can't really buy 1080p TV's now), and soon you will get more 4k channels on TV.

Also those 'bigger brands' don't make medium format.

I know 8k on phones is still not mature yet, but I can bring a phone which can match this one's 1080p resolution. 1080p is much worse than 4k, just admit the truth. Oh, and I did not mention any phone on my comment, I am saying it is sad you pay that much of money and yet you get only 1080p. You can buy cheaper DSLR which can take better videos than this bro.

It is a good deal for the... moreAnyone who's interested in taking lots of professional-grade pictures but don't mind not having some of the best autofocus capabilities from a digital camera may wanna consider going for this one instead, as this medium format sensor will be very good in low light situations where a competing Sony A7RIV might start to fall apart in quality a bit.

Sensor can be 2 different sizes, with biggest medium format as bit over 2000mm2, while Full Frame is below 900mm2.

Cameras like Sony A7r4 and Canon R5 cant match image quality of this one.

                                        khellandros66, 04 Sep 20211080p only 🤷🤷🤷🤷Yeah, but 1080p @500-600Mbps is better than 8K @200Mbps of smartphones.
Most importantly, the sensor size difference is way too much to even compare a 1080p footage from a medium format camera to 8K of smartphones. If full-frame cameras already smoke the hell out of any smartphone in video quality, then this medium format will just blow them out of existence immediately.

Besides, if a medium format's 1080p is already better than 8K of smartphones, then imagine 8K of medium format now.
