AnonD-1003038, 08 Sep 2021Samsung is frankly worse offender. Not only they initially ... moreYet again you are caught shamelessly justifying charger removal by bringing S21 plastic back into the argument.
Reality is that these practices should be shunned by both Android and Apple users but fanbbboys like you are the worst. No wonder you are the laughing stock on this site.

Also, you might be a fanboy but try to be objective. The truth is in between, plastic is more durable and practically better but glass is a more premium felling material so it shouldn't be missing from a 1000€ phone. And yes, Apple replacement prices are awful.

It's not even the top model.

Plastic can be easily hidden with a skin and is more durable.
You iPhone users can keep using your cracked glass back since apple cheapened out on Victus glass on the back

It's no coincidence that none of the Lumias used a glass back, they were either (removable) unibody plastics (like my Lumia 730) or with metal frame (like my Lumia 925 which was an absolute stunner in white, or its successor 930/Icon)
Even my current phone-X7 Max has a plastic back (textured/matte + glossy), and it's much better feeling without the case and also quite light despite the size & battery. I'd love to have a matte/frosted glass back but there's always the risk of it shattering if not handled carefully given the BIG avg phone sizes these days.
I'd rather prefer a metal frame (or the F/GRP like my older Z2 Plus) over a plastic frame.

They are not a glass company, they buy the same stuff from Corning on the front of their Samsung panels - Apple like to claim they are amazing at everything, that's the same thing that nearly killed the company in the '90s, it's a real shame to see that arrogance back in full force.

Funny no charger in box and ask 200 bucks for thing like this.
Apple surely know how to make cheap things pricey.
Hope the sheeps will wake up to stop supporting this thievery and slavery in innocent labourers and workers working for this full of bad habbits company.

Anonymous, 08 Sep 2021Can you this company bring anything useful? I think the M1 Macs are quite useful! no?!

S21+ and S21 Ultra have Victus on both front and back while iPhone giving Victus only on front. I don't see you complaining about cheap glass used on the back

I see bunch of people using Android phones with smashed everything and they just use them that way. So much for "it's so cheap to repair" when people still don't do it. It's a pointless argument. Meanwhile I'm using 3 years old iPhone and apart from micro scratches which are acceptable on display it has zero damage to any glass surface.

Not only they initially ... moreThe only reason why Apple don`t use back plastic is - plastic don`t break like glass. So with glass they can easily and regularly charge their customers for example: iPhone 12 Pro Max: $599. iPhone 12 Pro: $549. iPhone 12: $449 for back glass replacement.
So buying Apple You subscribe for continuous paying literally for everything ;)

And as for me - plastic is lighter, not cold as glass in winter and don`t cause like iPhone turn off on cold. Easy and cheap to repair.
