You get ... moreResale value and long software support are definitely good points about iPhones, it would be nice to see more Android phone manufacturers giving longer support. However iPhones are just way too expensive for what they offer.
iPhone cameras are among the worse at their price point, they're good but there's always better from other brands (Huawei, Samsung, even some brands such as Xiaomi, Vivo, Oppo).
Closed ecosystem is only a negative from my point of view, iPhones are so dumbed down it's hard to even do the basics without workarounds, like sometimes I just wanna move a file or use ad-block in my browser, maybe I even wanna install an app that wasn't downloaded from a store.

For example in North America gap between Apple service and others is huge! And that's the big reason people pay more money. And remember that most Apple users taking phone on 2 years term and in that way they don't need to pay full amount.

Fun part is that it can do more than current iOS.

Even 200-300 Euro Android devices outperforming iPhone worth 1000 Euro in multiple areas. This is why Android fans don't want to spend more on a phone.
Your 800 Euro iPhone is worth 300 Euro nothing more, it's the overpriced one.

What's the point of a 60hz display with an ugly notch and thick bezels and worse battery life and slower charging? Even my friend's 100$ phone has a much smaller notch and looks objectively better. And phones that cost less than 200$ have smoother UI now thanks to 90hz/120hz. If I'm paying as much as much as I pay for an iPhone I'd want the best. Looking at 60hz displays including the iphone's just makes my eyes hurt now.

If you don't really care about features all that much then 4 years of security updates should be good enough unless you keep your phone for longer. I presume your iPhone is more than 4 years old then.

You get lot of value for your money and you won’t be screwed by your company two years later when they want to sell you new phone. If you want to upgrade to next phone, you will get lot of money from reselling your current iPhone and it helps lot when it runs newest OS still years.
Also that closed ecosystem is pros, not cons. And iPhone cameras are among best on the market, very far from mediocre.

Closed ecosystem, expensive everything, they can suddenly release an update just to disable your replaced display, bad batteries, somewhat mediocre cameras.
But I definitely get the size thing. If you don't like Chinese phones I would probably consider Asus Zenfone 8 or Xperia 5 III, one is Taiwanese and the other is Japanese.

I don’t care widgets, using none of them. They just takes space from small screen, i’m using that space for app icons which i use every day.
But seriously, you can’t be serious, Android widgets polished? They are huge mess with no unified design language. Which means every widget you install can look completely different. Polished widgets are iOS widgets, they fit perfectly to Ui and icons, all the widgets have same design language, that’s why people like them so much, they just look very good.

Pixel 5a 5G (the timing helps, will be the first one ?)
Google Pixel 6 series (rumour of 5 years)
Couldn't find any other announcement about a 3 years OS support on android. This is less than a year new (might improve thanks to a new deal between Qualcomm and Google at the end of 2020 to extend the duration of support).
Didn't know about it except for Samsung and Pixel 6.
Not sure about the definition of budget phone, to me, except for the Nokia's, most of the one in the list are high end or flagships
