All other continents, the difference is huge and abusive.

12 Pro Max was more than $1800 in China.

[deleted post]I see myself as a tech enthusiast rather than a fanboy. unlike fanboys, I appreciate tech from everywhere which is why I listed such tech that actually gives innovative practical benefits. iPhones these days, on the other hand, has barely anything going for them except their shiny Apple logo. take that away and it's nothing

Honestly, as an Android guy, this price isn't bad for what you're getting. The fact that it's even cheaper than the Galaxy Ultra is telling. Granted, that phone (along with my Xperia) has Periscope so it all depends on preference.

I'm sorry, but most us here are enthusiasts, but still, if I were a regular customer, and have a 1000$ budget, I would definitely go for the iphone, especially since the only downside was the 60hz display, and know it has been improved, apple really know how to appeal to the general population.

"This means that in low light the new model can capture up to 2.2x more light."
No, this doesn't mean that at all. The "2.2x" must be related to the sensor technology at base Iso (full well capacity per unit area). That's why they say "up to". The larger lens will only lead to approximately 42% more light per time than the 12 Pro Max. Another explanation could be that they use maybe an RGBW sensor.

That camera bump with brighter f1.5 and 1.9um pixels is a worthy upgrade. Other than that just playing catch up.

144hz on Android sorry but the design is exactly the same and it’s a shame they could do this to their own customers.

Why do they insist on keeping the notch? Since 2019 or so Android devices have a only a hole or even nothing at all!

                                Is it a design feature?

Anonymous, 14 Sep 2021is it confirmed orbit becos apple a14 already did 1600 ... moreThey did t change the architecture on the a15 big core, they didn't clocked it higher then 3.1 GHz, they didn't add more decoders.

It's just 5% improvement from the TSMC 5nm+.

Maybe the little cores got better and the multi come might be higher then 4.3k.

One has to be really compassionate with this company, still unable to decide on having USB C on iphone and ipad devices.
They managed it in good time accross Mac computers though! We have to keep congratulating them hopefully they get the gist
