Triggered?? Says the guy spending all his time posting on Apple related threads

But no... They are absolutely lazy. Admit it brand boy.

Apple updating iphones back to iphone 6s, which is 6 years old and android users can't even comprehend what that means from a 2 year old android device that has stopped receiving android updates.

And the current times are not something that anyone in Apple could have foreseen and thus planned for. You might as well suggest no further developments go into fingerprint biometrics as for all anyone knows tomorrow there could be a pandemic of some new highly virulent form of dermatitis!

Face ID works, it has limitations due to current conditions yes. A back up biometric in the form of a finger print scanner would be nice, but such will take time to implement at the scale required for the iPhone market.

And the irony that you would suggest I get rid of my biases whilst defending someone named ‘Android Authority’ who has a picture next to that name of the Android bot p*ssing over Apple, is not lost on me.

Anonymous, 16 Sep 2021Notch existed because it housed a camera Well give you a smarty!

Yes simply a camera, The Face ID system comprises somewhat more components than that you know.

You need to get rid of your Apple bias and accept constructive criticism

And I’ve used Face ID for over two years, it works the overwhelmingly vast majority of the time under normal conditions which these days are anything but, so you can stop using your anti Apple bias to say baseless things you would like to be true now.

DaFink, 16 Sep 2021There is nothing half baked about Face ID, it does what it’... moreIf it doesn't work half the time (which is the case with the compulsory masks at public places or inside offices) it's a half baked implementation.

Within a year, Android manufacturers had come with multiples solution to get rid of the notch.
Be it teardrop notch, punch holes or pop up cameras. They didn't sit their idle like Apple.
Apple is sitting over all that money, refusing to invest in R&D.

If relatively less powerful manufacturers can provide solutions, big company like Apple has no excuse. You can stop making excuses for Apple now.

A worldwide pandemic exposed a limitation of the application. And you think 1 single year is sufficient for Apple to completely re-engineer and roll out a solution to a product category as large as the iPhone!?!?!

Naive much are we?

This is why it is considered a poor implementation.

Besides, they had one year to fix face ID not working with mask issue. Still no solution offered. What did they do for the entire year? Stop making excuses for them delivering half baked implementation.

Android-Authority, 16 Sep 2021That unreliable fingerprint scanner works even during a pan... moreMasks weren’t a thing when Face ID was introduced to know, and Apple sure didn’t have a way to know what was coming. Also, they aren’t going to be a permanent feature of daily life, we can only hope.

Fingerprint scanners also have limitations, and let’s not forget that many Android oem’s rushed ahead with in-display scanners well before they were ready just so their customer’s could drag about a ‘new’ yet not quite as functional innovation. Even now they are barely able to produce the same kind of consistent reliability as the ‘old’ capacitive sensors.

But I think the gist of what you are saying, which is the only thing you ever appear to say, is everything is better on Android……..

Beta version is only released to people part of the beta program.
Android never rolled out any stable version with so many bugs as iPhone

That would be funny though as I’ve just finished listening to an Android Central podcast where they were talking about how the oem’s involved in the Android beta program are holding off releasing more recent versions of their own beta’s, as they are waiting for a more stable version of Android 12……..
