It’s a stupid way of thinking at Xiomi to be selling a vanilla version only in global markets, and breaking prices for accessory parts like pen and keyboard cover separately like Apple, is a wishful strategy on the maiden launch of their tablet in vanilla version only.

Spanky, 15 Sep 2021This is very nice, but I’d like to see some mid-range table... moreYes, thats what i was pointing out when Realme also released their own budget tablet, with a G80 soc. Xiaomi have missed that particular segment wherein some people would only like to get good display for media consumption and under the 200 usd mark.

For sure after 3 or months like pad 4 plus , they will stop system update !
                        Not worth to buy !

Anonymous, 15 Sep 2021Why buy second hand and risk it breaking down after few mon... moreExactly! Besides, you never know how many battery recharge cycles the previous owner(s) completed and how the battery was treated. There are many ways to negatively impact battery performance (letting it discharge completely, exposing it to heat/cold/shocks, etc.).

shanca01, 15 Sep 2021The price of this tablet as new one... If you really dig ... moreWhy buy second hand and risk it breaking down after few months, when one can pay 100$ more than and buy brand new for the this tablet?

This is very nice, but I’d like to see some mid-range tablets from Xiaomi. Remember how, for a long while, OEMs used to release Android tablets with low-end SoCs? It was very hard to find a high-end Android tablet. Now it seems that the opposite is happening: they are all jumping directly to Snapdragon series 800 (except for Lenovo’s P11 series).

If Xiaomi could bring a sub-200 euro tablet with a 90 Hz screen (10-11 inch and 1080p) + Helio G88 + quad speakers + ›7000 mAh battery (18-22.5W charging is enough) + fingerprint reader, it would be a really good replacement for my current one.

The price of this tablet as new one...
If you really dig deeper into second hand market
(FB marketplace, ebay and co. ..
You can get Samsung Galaxy tab s6 or S7 at that price.. S7plus maybe £40-60 extra...

                                    1. OLED flickers at much lower, like 10 times lower, frequencies.
                                    2. OLED flickers at any brightness level below 100. some flickers even at full brightness.
long term effects of OLED PWM on eyesight is not known. since there are PWM sensitive people who can not use OLED, it is fair to say it does affect us. even if youre not getting eyestain, eyesand and headaches from OLED, does not mean your eyes are unaffected.

This tablet is very good for its price. I am sure 120Hz display will be marvellous to use. Only downside is the absence of USB C to hdmi support
