Rumors: Galaxy S IV to have 13MP camera, quad-core A15 CPU

20 November, 2012
The Exynos 5450 chipset comes up again, but can the S IV really have four Cortex-A15 cores clocked at 2GHz?

I don't understand Samsung at all really. Why the need for a 5" screen? At this rate, a few years down the road we'll see the Samsung Galaxy XII with a 12" screen. Makes no sense to me, phones are meant to be portable, not giant behemoths that look out of place when you pull them out. Add to that the new one won't really look all that great either. The Galaxy S3 is borderline ugly for me personally.

Despite having a Galaxy S3, an iPhone 5, and a Galaxy S2, I'd say I enjoy using my S2 and my iPhone 5 a lot more than the S3 simply because the devices hit the sweet spot in terms of display size and battery life. Don't need a screen larger than 4.3" thanks.

A phone with a screen at 4.99inches and in full HD with a 2Ghz quad core will need a BIG battery. I think Sammy will have touse most of the phones back for battery space, leaving just a small portion for the camera and flash. This could also lead to a sealed in battery to make it as thin as possible. They will also have to really reduce the bezel

Sorry to say this but its true. In terms of design and quality apple still leads , nokia has the best camera. Htc has better screen , motorola has better battery . Of course these are subective but majority have same opinion.

AnonD-59079, 20 Nov 2012Who's the hater here? You and your friends that always hat... moreHater?! Because of what?! I'm not even a samsung fan mate, but in this last year the only droid that suprised me enough to buy it was the S III. It doesn't lag...oh, right, maybe a litlle when I have at least 20 apps oppened. Man, iOS isn't perfect, WP is far from perfect and Android isn't perfect either...each one have their highs and lows. But, you all can't give Samsung credit because of their past mistakes and that is wrong. Samsung made a greater job with S III than Apple with iPhone 5, and this two have 6 months of avaiability difference. People have to give credit despite of past Galaxy S vs iPhone 3GS. Forget the quality design, some use quality aluminian, others zirconian, others plastic...but in each field, they have quality, and the last one if it gets damaged is way easier and less costier to replace. That is my opinion and many others of course, but is reality. In case of 920, is to early to say anything...love their (N9) design and quality screen but three things, WP8 has to improve a lot (oh, in case of you didn't know, every single WP8 have constantly shut down, hummm strange), not removable and low battery and a bit heavier than the competition.

Hummm...ok, let's talk! 920 has a great design, yes but still WP8 despite of some new cute tricks has so much to grow and learn in the mobile area (and they should learned already a long time ago because exist since the first PDA's). I think right now has a OS platform, Android OS is the most complete, costumizable and rich of features on the market right now. I'm an Android user yes, but in my line of work I deal with every type of device everyday. Every frikkin day, I read articles, forums and go see for myself the devices in other stores other than mine. I will respond like a fanboy because I never thought that in the end I would buy a Samsung Smartphone, a Samsung flagship...I was waiting to buy a SONY (that I love) or try a Motorola or HTC...but in the END, Samsung caught me, and I don't regret every penny I spent. S III is intuitive, full of features (and great ones) and the design, believe me, you get used to it...mine in saphyre black is awesome. The screen is amazing but I'll say that is better then 920...but this screen combined with with some samsung features like 'Smart Stay', make my day reading...you will not know the phone's capabilities in one or two store trips. Like the ones you got the 920 didn't know that the phone constantly shuts down because of an WP8 bug. Al least SGSIII doesn't do that, has a good battery (REMOVABLE xD), great processor, a great camera, full of features (BELIEVE ME) and also great, you have thousands of acessories (official and 3rd party) to buy. Is the first time that i'm pleased with my choice of a smartphone...oh, combined with my awesome SONY smartwatch, ahaha, make my day! You have to see the full package, not only the design (that is a personal taste). Every smartphone or OS have their wins or losses, but has a full package, S III is still the best investment/features/acessories/apps(free). If you like your 920, go for it...but I think if you put all in the table, SIII is more capable then 920. But everyone is entitled to their opinion. Mine is in pair with almost all reviews that gives the right credit to the latest Samsung effort ;)

Regedit, 20 Nov 2012Flexible Screen, Transparent Screen , Expandable screens , ... moreFlexible or foled have been shown before and are not short of possible in the near future. Something interesting is sensors being developed the take the excess leakage light from the sides of screen and make it into energy. Cant wait to see when that will be developed and size friendly.

i think market now is saturated for display , screen size and no of cores . Now samsung has to innovate more on basic hardware components like design, materials, and quality of hardware.

I dont think they would put quad core cortex A15 as it would suck the juice out of it....

dual core cortex A15 is enough to blow apart all the competition....
maybe a higher clocked mali t-604 would help

Flexible Screen, Transparent Screen , Expandable screens , that can be compact as Mobile and can turn to a tablet when stretched. not to mention the apps built for those screens.

All of the above 'sci-fi' stuff is possible in near future, and may run on A15. No matter the S4 performs at best it will seem to be outdated.
