Realistically speaking, does a 2GB of RAM Upgrade really costs 30$? What is with this type of pricing from 6 GB to 8 GB 🤦🏻♂️

The cheapest snapdragon 870 sells for just 1,599rmb in China (Moto edge s) so whilst this price is still competitive it does seem slightly high alright. It's possible the real price will be lower though

That is high pricing compared to the original GT Neo. The base variant of Neo 2 costs more than the top variant of Neo. The phones are pretty identical other than the SoC swap and the display being slightly bigger and a bit more energy efficient being a E4 panel vs E3 panel.
The GT Neo comes in three memory variants - 6GB/128GB, 8GB/128GB, and 12GB/256GB priced at CNY1,799 ($275/€230), CNY1,999 ($305/€255), and CNY2,299 ($350/€295), respectively.
