Anonymous, 21 Nov 2012I read the battery test and its pathetic. Note 2 has around... morehTC has always proved that they make better phones. their build quality is always better than others and obviously UI. though now a days most of the customers are fed up on sense UI but it has been the best so far.
No phone is perfect. some has bad display, some has less juice in battery, some has less power or watever. we have to choose which one do we need and shop according to that. this phone is really awesome. compared to others in the market, u will find it better than others in most of the categories. in many important parameters it is the best so far. the design, the power inside and more else. ya, the battery is not good. but look at other phones. if you can consider with mediocre battery performance with other outstanding performance, this one be your best choice. most of my friends use samsung SGS 2 or 3. and I have seen the build quality of their phones. really not good. if somebody prefers good battery performance why dont u guys go for Razr Maxx. you will be satisfied, I am sure.
so I think if you are searching for a perfect phone better make that yourself. good luck with your phone manufacturing. :)

Anonymous, 21 Nov 2012I read the battery test and its pathetic. Note 2 has around... moreYou wanted more cores and bigger displays, now you want bigger batteries. Then you will want everything to be small and compact. Since huge battery makes the device bigger and heavier then you CAN'T have everything. Get real man.

By the way it seems that the battery performance is great for such a screen. And why the hell you compare it with the Note 2 ? Such a huge device, which is a phablet! And by the way, Note 2 is as plastic and ugly as the S3, and for some people the design counts.

This HTC is awesome, I hope HTC get back in the big game! Can't wait for the international launch when I will try how it is in my hands, live.

Contracts change quite rapidly. Is a meager $400 up-front which you'll pay with the plan anyway worth the ability to drop your carrier and choose your plan?

Carriers want us to consider that the phone is the product we should be choosing. However, it's the plan what we should actually care about. No one should fall for that.

Nesned, 21 Nov 2012Errr, have you read the battery life test? I don't believ... moreI read the battery test and its pathetic. Note 2 has around 50% bigger battery and does around 50% better, so whats the good thing about it? Same performance per ampere hour. If under heavy usage the Note 2 will last 12 hours then this will last only 8 hours.

I had Note 2 more than a month and its not a problem to drain the battery in less than a day, some gaming at somewhat high brightness levels will take care of that, easily. And that is 50% better than the DROID DNA. Pathetic, theres no other word for this phone, people now demand BIGGER BATTERY, not fancy power saving features that dims the display all the way back to the dark ages and reduces performance to totally useless levels.

I don't believe the result too but this htc could survive a lil bit longer than sgs3 jelly bean.

This should be a consideration, standby up to 50 hours, at last it could survive for a day.

Unfortunately the bells and whistles (high res display, quad-core snapdragon processor) don't outweigh the obvious flaws in design the device has (fixed battery, no upgradable storage, flush buttons, clipped usb slot, to name a few). HTC really needs a homerun smartphone, and soon, but I don't think this is the one.
