I would just save shed loads of money and buy the entry-level iPad 10.2 instead. If only Apple ditch iPadOS from the iPad Pro models and use macOS instead, that would be a solid worthy rival to the Surface Pro.

The most powerful surface ever offers mediocre performance that can't match some of the laptops that can't cost more than $800..
The design isn't even original as it is stolen from Acer. (Maybe intel played some part and is allowed to use it).
You get a hot cpu which is already obsolete, full of security holes, has lesser physical and virtual cores than even the previous gen of the competitor, a graphics card that's severely lacking compared to the asking price, a display with less resolution than their own previous flagship product and a highly inflated price...
Apple at least made the m1 macs powerful with good (great or insane) battery life. And they're cheap compared to this.

harianilchandran, 23 Sep 2021Surface go is much better than My ipad pro with mobile brow... moreso true. my friend have a new ipad pro with m1 which is blazingly fast in term of raw performance, but she ask me a help just to compress a pdf because with her ipad she can't do that. iPad is fast, but it's OS is limiting factors, and Apple will do nothing about it, because they have a Macbook.

The Concept D Ezel could be a good starting point but idk if it has a touchscreen, the only other viable option I know of is the Flow X13, but yeah you either get "powerful" gpu or you get 2in1 with iGPU or at max MX450 or check refurbed Surface-Book with 1660ti

oxyo, 23 Sep 2021iPad 9 is much better and cheaper than Surface Go 3.But the iPad still runs on mobile OS whereas the Surface Go runs on a full-on desktop OS. I'd still take the Surface Go all day tbh.

and found that the ROG Mothership is a monster that weight 4.7 KG (without cables) and cost about $6,000 (when it released)
it has no touch screen, so it can't be considered a 2 in 1
it's more an all in one than a laptop
