Yes may be macintosh from earlier days have value because at that time those were innovative, unique and left a good impresson on many people. Nowadays most of the smartphones are capable of doing the same things. So it's not really worth of collection.

    It's not even about the 120hz for me, even though it's nice to have. It's the 240hz touch sampling. It's night and day for artists and gaming and even scrolling slowly while reading a lot of text.

      Somewhat important for me but not a must.

      I use Realme GT Master Edition also has 120 Hz refresh rate but I choose auto option.

        Anonymous, 27 Sep 2021Going back to 60hz gives me headaches now after getting use... moreTrue, especially if you play the same games, on different device( 60hz/120hz). i guess thats the reason why Apple didnt offer this on their regular IP13, this would eat their sales on their pro/max version.

          I don't `need` anything more than 60Hz but I do like to have variable refresh rate that can go up (whatever the ceiling) and down to 1Hz and those displays were mainly implemented on higher refresh rate phones.

                I certainly don't want to pay $600 for a sub-1080p display with 60Hz refresh rate and less than 3000mAh battery in 2021 when even $300 budget phones from 2018 already have 1080p displays and 4000mAh batteries.

                  After all these OLED High refresh rate displays are a trend

                  Buck and trend and go back to using primitive smartphones

                    it is nice to have... but not a must have for me...
                    touch response... i thought asus did it with their first generation zenfone... i had zenfone 5 (the first gen), that has fast touch response, but not high refresh display...

                        Going back to 60hz gives me headaches now after getting used to 120hz. It's a subtle difference but one your eyes will appreciate.

                          Both my galaxy fold 3 and tab s7 plus have 120hz screens and I'll never go back to 60hz.

                            I can buy a phone without a camera, it doesn't matter, but I can't use a 60hz screen, you can't understand this without using something high reflesh rate computer phone etc.. there is no coming back to 60hz.

                              High refresh rates are dumb when it's on an OLED phone with low-frequency pulse width modulation. 120Hz refresh, but then pulsing at 240Hz, is like that guy who is worth less than six figures, but drives a BMW 3-series with a fake M badge.


                              Keep on, and you will all be wearing glasses by the time you're 35.

I dont also play games on mobile but still know that more popular shooter games are not locked 60 fps. But also phone models need to be supported in the games so it wont matter how good your phone is when it's not supported for the game.

                                  Having higher refresh rate gives more flexibility of what can you do with your screen. Not on weak devices though.

                                    Your looking at this from a consumer lens..

                                      The only question forgotten in this poll is wether high refresh rate is making a real difference in the budget segment, most phones at this price have to make a sacrifice that cripples the experience just to make way to that high refresh, the joke of the year is devices with weak chip sets or slow emmc storage and high refresh rate pannels, seriously ??
