Those big Youtubers are bound by embargo and other things so they are at the mercy of the company when to release videos, what you can talk about, what you can't.
Failing to do so, they stop getting review samples from the company.
You tubers like golden reviewer and Hans tech talk buy their own devices with their own monet, so they can say whatever they want and publish things that big Youtubers can't.
This is how Apple and Samsung control the tech media

YUKI93, 25 Sep 2021But then again, very few apps have 120Hz or higher refresh ... moreMobile gaming just add the 120hz to graphics setting for iphone as a supported device and that be it. They already have the system in place for android and dont need to rebuild the games for IOS as they are in there already too

IDC WHO U R., 25 Sep 2021iphone 120Hz is still immature. They need time to fix it.So they take the ProMotion marketing from iPad and still need time to be mature?

Essen, 25 Sep 2021It's sad when all you Android people make fun of Apple... moreIs it though? ProMotion on iPads work pretty much exactly like how automatic variable refresh rates are handled in some androids like, say, an S21U, OP9P or Mi10T. 24/30/48/60/90/120/whateverfps depending on content. Care to explain how is it going to be any different in the iPhone?
But pardon, I wonder why I even bother asking, considering the rest of your rant.

I've said it bunch of times and I'll say it again. High refresh is all nice and well, but it's the stuttering and lagging that kills the experience, not 60Hz display by itself. Give me a phone that never stutters and lags and I'll be fine with 60Hz. On desktops with infinite power, of course I'll prefer high refresh, but on device with finite power, I'll most likely default to 60Hz under condition it never lags or stutters. As simple as that.
I think in Apple's tradition, they'll just do some sort of whitelisting or something to allow select apps to run at higher refresh. So far only their own and more later. Especially if they want to use some sort of API to control refresh based on touch or something.

Anonymous, 25 Sep 2021I literally don't see any appeal at all of having a sm... moreWell my guess is you probably haven't experienced a HRR screen yourself. Yes obviously the contents inside apps matter the most, but the smoothness of the higher frames makes everything feels subtly 'faster' (actually it's not, but it feels like it is)
Still, to each their own, after all. My pa only used 120hz a few days after purchase and dials back to 60hz because he prefers battery life over anything else, and the higher frames seems uncanny to him somehow. Personally, it feels weird to go back to the standard refresh rate after being used to 144hz. Heck, even a 90hz screen feels weird. But that's likely just me being really finicky.

It's sad when all you Android people make fun of Apple. You all don't understand. This is a feature. Android simply has High Refresh Rate. But this is PRO motion. It's Pro enough to know when 120Hz is good for you and when it isn't. Complex algorithms decipher that for you, so you don't have to switch between 120 and 60 and whatever. That's what PRO Motion is.
Other phones just have a processor. But Apple's is a Bionic Processor. Other displays only have a resolution. Apple's is Retina resolution. Other phones may or may not come in a red colour. But Apple's isn't mere red. It is PRODUCT (red).
You see? So all of you please rest assured. Apple knows what is good for you. Including knowing when are you physically, emotionally, mentally and psychology ready for high refresh rate on your phone and when you aren't. This shouldn't even be news.

Do people really scroll around all the time, strange psychotic obsession growing in terms of specs...feel of scrolling lol ,higher refresh rate is new thing ,also touch sampling rate lol ,just like haptic feedback though we can perceive haptics but higher refresh rate than 60 hz basically cant be felt different normally... if you are feeling, its due to smoothness in animation ,even higher rr causes jitters if not optimised

I think all technologies need some time for improving. Everything is unstable and weak at first but after some updates or after some new releases everything will work great. Examples? All new android or iOS redesigns. All wireless headphones. All cars. All laptops.

Mikeromeoz, 25 Sep 2021But that's the point of having a HRR display: to have ... moreI literally don't see any appeal at all of having a smoother scrolling. People care a lot about the content inside the app itself in the first place They absolutely won't care if the scrolling effect has gone smooth.

Its a Samsung OLED panel great than the old Iphone Models so they have to work on software for the 120 fps.
