iPhone 13 Pro Max supports up to 27W fast charging, the regular Pro goes up to 23W

30 September 2021
It doesn't sustain 27W all the time, though.

2hr to fully charge your flagship phone in year 2021 is simply not acceptable.

I own 60w chargers, I still use 5w on my iphone. I will only use the fast charger if I forget to charge my phone. Faster chargers degrade the battery fast. And it's not like they are forcing you to buy the faster chargers, older chargers still work

And if they like having a cutout for the Apple logo, then frigging let them. I like transparent TPU cases that are barely visible on the phone. I guess I really want to flahs that iPhone, aye?

Anonymous, 30 Sep 2021No. It's just so that the case does not cover the logo. So? Jesus christ, you people obsess over most petty things and then have a nerve to call iPhone users out on whatever. Some use Dbrand skins, some use transparent TPU cases, some use frwaking cases with a cutout. Why do you care so much? Jesus. So they like to show off Apple logo. Do you cover your car badge too because it annoys you so much that it's being flashed around?

If you don't fall into this category, fast charging is incredibly useful.

Am I the only one who never cared about charging speeds? I am still using my 15w charger from 2014 and have no plans of replacing it

Anonymous, 30 Sep 2021So people who bought the 20w charger last year to use with ... moreSince the phone's price has been the same since 2017 (X, XS, 11 Pro, 12 Pro), I would say having to buy another charger if you want a slightly faster charge isn't terrible.

Nearly every other manufacturer has increased the base price of their flagship offering. For example, Samsung with the S8, S9, S10, S20 going from $720 to $999. OnePlus with the 5, 6, 7, 8 going from $479 to $700. Google with the Pixel 2, P3, P4, P5 going from $650 to $700 (the Pixel 4 being $800).

Apple has impressively kept the price $999 for their smaller Pro offering for four years. You can read this as the iPhone X being grossly overpriced to start with, but remember the Pixel 2 XL 128GB from that same year was $949.

You get 5G, way better screen and double the base storage. And a lot of carriers are giving $500-$1000 trade-in deals for this type of upgrade.
