Shure lives in the past where there were only few high quality audio products. The price Airpods Pro territory which I reckon, sounds as good as the SE215 but with more features.

That's why the adapter for (battery, wireless, control board and so on) and it is module. Mean, you can take off the wireless adapter and plug in other different adapter in this case are wire adapter (3.5mm headphone jack) and upgradeable in the future.

If I understand it correctly, I think the "adapter" means all the part that colored black in the pictures (as opposed to the earphone which is blue). That part, using MMCX, can be detached and the earphone can be connected to another cable making it a regular wired earphone . Similarly the adapter can be used for any wired Shure earphone that can be detached from the cable making it wireless, hence the name "adapter".

Looks cool. But what is the adapter for? Please somebody explain me. I've never seen this type of earbuds.
