So many people are going to be ticked off next year when iPhone 14 and beyond will lose Lightning connector and move to MagSafe charging. People have been asking for USB-C for years now. MacBooks and iPads already used them for years.
The iPhone 14 could finally be port-less which has been a dream for Jony Ive even before the X was released. Great for waterproofing. Not so great that you will be charged $40 to get a MagSafe charger since iPhones no longer comes with a charger. It's like how we charge an Apple Watch. But it's a hassle of bringing another proprietary cable with us.
Apple removing chargers was planned years ago for a payoff with the iPhone 14 next year. Tim Crook plans these years in advance. It's like removing headphone jack in 2016 to force people to buy $160 wireless earbuds. And every year, millions of people fall for it because they're mesmerized by that Apple logo.

2 TB storage, LIDAR, cinematic video, mag safe gimmicks. They can put better thermal design and their fans will apriciate it more. As usual Apple will ignore the demands of their userbase.

I believe Apple knows they've been beaten by Samsung in the foldable space. It took TEN YEARS for Samsung to finally release a foldable and refine it. Samsung worked on foldable displays since 2009. They look to control the technology for it for the rest of this decade and beyond.
The next two years could be brutal for Apple. Trying to sell people a device that looks like a Galaxy S10 in the years of 2022 and 2023. Then when iPhone Flip is finally released by 2024, their fans will praise Apple again. But since they don't have access to this technology on their platform, they'll bash it and call foldables gimmicky.

Honestly, this overkill with 2TB is Apple's way to charge some of their fans close to $2000 and be on par to how much Samsung charges their Fold series.
The iPhone 14 will look like the 2019 Samsung Galaxy S10. Recycling old tech and old Samsung designs. My 2018 Pixel 3 basically looks like a 2017 Samsung Galaxy S8 but with Google's smooth software and superior computational photography.
Samsung always ahead of the curve. Apple and Google always playing catch-up.

Just because someone wants flagship phone, does not mean person needs stuff they will never use.
It is like 20GB ram, when no apps use more than 0,7GB. Not even games.

oh yeah 2TB is very important if the user always record 4k video which size is big.
And seems, me and every people i see are rarely recording video, but taking photo more often.
Also, still some isheeps prefer to buy iphone 64 Gb storage rather than buying better mid range phone.
Will 2TB phone get the highest interest next year...
