Outage occurred after tv program-they wanted to delete info (aka shredding) so shut down the network-what else can it be? lol

But Facebook censoring anything about Ivermectin has lead to many deaths as well as the US government not telling the truth about it.

Just the term "conspiracy theories" was first used by the CIA to discredit people with evidence of US government wrong doing. One of the first investors in Facebook was a CIA front company. Without free speech and a free press people can disappear and nobody can say a word. Very dangerous.

sixtymes, 05 Oct 2021sad that it wasn't down permanently. It's not going to happen. Facebook and WhatsApp is still the most popular platform, even for online businesses. I don't ever see any online businesses that I had interacted with before that use Telegram. It's always either Facebook Group or WhatsApp Business, that's it.

Dudenoway, 05 Oct 2021Who cares. Naiv epeople will use Facebook and will continue... moreThat is indeed the reality. Just take a look at WhatsApp - despite the privacy concern, not a single of my family or almost all of my friends ever decided to switch to other alternatives like Telegram or Signal. Instead, they just keep on using it as if nothing happens.

I was chatting so much on Telegram at that time that I never realized about the outage until I opened up WhatsApp and Facebook Messenger. Only then I realized something wrong was happening.

sixtymes, 06 Oct 2021life was better before the internet. period. The internet helped streamline business, transactions, information sharing, workflows, and allows us to communicate with people we care about even if they're out in space. Life was not better before the internet. However, I concede that life was better before social media platforms took over the internet.

To me the FB should be down forewer i will not miss it.

So she’s not happy with big tech censoring social media, so I guess she would prefer the government to do that… exactly what they do in China :/ also, I don’t believe she’s a real whistleblower… more like a paid agitator. If the likes of Ed Snowden can’t get proper interviews, how can she get a slot on 60 minutes? It doesn’t seem right

Anonymous, 06 Oct 2021Perfect comment! Growing up..so entire globe has a issue as populist goverments use these tools to come to power n then once in power try to censure these giants. See India for reference. There was a great propaganda run on fb to secure the majority votes. Misinformation is still rampant but the opposotion has no voice as govt is censuring the media with official routes. The us ressurection was that not proof enough for u?

"" We also have no evidence that user data was compromised as a result of this downtime. ""

This is pretty suspicious language in my opinion.

Facebook and IG shutting down felt more like the whole internet had went down lol. It's kinda sad that a social media giant is defining what the experience is like browsing the web in modern times.

life was better before the internet. period.
