              safari + no touchscreen doesn't make any sense.

              that's why safari on the iPhone is still better... you can zoom, pan, navigate through the whole internet with just your fingers!

              plus, this phone doesn't have wifi either. good specs but can be better.

                  It is a really big mistake for Samsung to unleach this product because this thing is really bloody heavy! It's like having a brick in your pocket. You can check it out to compare it with the Samsung L810. I Just prefer the nokia N95 8gb :) it has at least WIFI etc..

                    OH MY GOD!!! its like 6500 slide with S60 OS! just what i was wishing for.

                    but too bad i already bought my 6500 slide! :(

                    S60 is really a flexible OS, you can customize the looks of the OS to suite your desires and you can even install third party applications. Nokia fans know what i'm talking about.

                    This is probably the best path samsung is taking!
                    They have adopted all the best features from different manufacturers!

                    OS = nokia Nseries
                    design = samsung
                    safari = iphone

                    they use the OS of nokia Nseries phones and use the slider form factor which they are known for (and proven to be BEST at it).
                    They are also not bad in terms of camera quality and even other pre-installed applications. The safari of iphone completes the package!

                    for those looking for a wifi, i think the big brother of this phone is samsung G810. with wifi plus 5mp camera

                      yea i agree, i was just thinking the same think, why would they show that their theme doesn't support 3r party apps in a official picture? but atleast the phones pretty thin

                        That mixture of different styled icons in the menu looks extremely awkward...

                          I just got a Nokia N95 8G (Black), which is growing on me, in both senses of the word. a) It is very powerful and fast (except when firing up the media browser) b) It is very thick, so not pocket friendly. So, when first reading about this new Sammy, I thought, great, a slimmer N95 - just what the Dr. ordered. But the L870 has a two year old spec and the screen is no match for the excellent 2.8" on the N95 8G. The camera does not record VGA (almost DVD quality) video and it doesn't have a 3.5mm headphone jack. And as per Samsung using the Bang & Olufsen trademark on some of their phones, all this co-branding is pointless on such a small device. The best browser is probably Opera anyway. On the positive, it looks nice, has a decent D-Pad (no annoying touch buttons) and appears well built. All said, am sticking with the N95 now. Samsung, try again! (And no, I will never touch Windows mobile.)

                            The camera has a auto-focus function!

                              What how does it follow N series? Its a mobile smartphone platform and Samsung is the first to incorporate Symbian with Safari... I'm sure Nokia will be following suit soon. As usually lovely design nd quality which is typical samsung. Nice phone
