Best phone this year? IMO Mi 11 ultra (in specs), some Google phone (in experience).
Iphone is not a phone, merely phone like fashion item. Neeext

I feel like my phone performs the same all the time, no matter if it was the S4, Note 4, Note 8, Note 9 and now Note 20 Ultra. Yes, some features are added, some are removed, but overall the experience has been pretty much the same. One would think that a phone with 12GB RAM would perform much better than a phone with 2GB RAM but that is not the case, on the contrary, my 12GB RAM phone can hold fewer apps in the background than the Galaxy S4 could, and as an extra it often kills those apps in the background. That's all, I just thought I will leave my thoughts here when I read about some RAM improving technology :)).

People in the world of custom Android ROM and Windows Phone OS have been doing it for ages, albeit manually (though there are apps that can help to do just that without the need for messing around with the mobile OS itself in the first place).

In fact, for any smartphone to have video output (aka HDMI ALT) support, it needs to have at least USB-C 3.1 (although there are certain smartphones with USB-C 2.0 like the LG V40 that has such support).

Maybe this kind of feature will make sense for smartphones with 4GB RAM or lower and slightly older entry-level or budget chipset. But for smartphones with at least 6GB RAM and the latest midrange chipset? I don't really see the point of that.

It doesn't have LIVE blur! The developer of RayOS enabled it and said that it didn't appear to make much difference. But it does have the blur enabled, though it looks like it takes a still frame and blurs it in the background(can be seen if you expand to notification shade on a youtube video).

This is a basic & crucial OS feature, that is in use on Android phones since Day 1 (& every other OS in particular). It's automated by the OS & the size is preconfigured usually by the manufacturer. The normal user don't know when it happens. If the system needs more RAM, it uses the swap file on the internal memory.
Just because some Chinese company tries now to use it to advertise their phones with this feature as some new(!), revolutionary(!) & more free RAM(!) (like Apple would usually do). It doesn't mean that it is something new. Of course other manufactures will (or have to now) follow this trend, since most people are computer illiterate and will fall for it. People will say now, like you, that one phone has this "revolutionary method" to get more "free RAM" and the other doesn't. So the person will pick the phone that has this "super method" (a common swap file), over a phone didn't advertised a basic OS function.
There is one difference to the usual swap file. These new "RAM+" are very big. The swap file is usually small and rarely used by the smartphone os, because the internal memory is tons of magnitudes slower than the RAM.
