I had a Note 2 and never got one update. I switched to Nexus and never looked back. True, the Pixel 3 and 4 were major let downs but the every Pixel after the 4 have been very solid phones with few drawbacks. The 4a 5G is definitely a winner in my book.

I would honestly prefer a Pixel flip phone and a 7 inch Pixel tablet or a 7 inch foldable Pixel tablet rather than a foldable phone.

Other than that even a series of google are very good enough.

quite interested more on the pixel watch...
hope it has "near medical grade" for blood pressure and pulse rate among the common health indicators...
or at least better than asus vivowatch...

Let me take it back. Pixel 3 did NOT play Dolphin 5.0 MMJ smoothly my second time through. For some reason, it will lag the longer I play it.
I thought perhaps it was overheating and throttling but it's not that. It does still play it smoother than my Razr 5G as that one starts to struggle with the intro and menu screen. The 765G is still WEAK in my eyes for my use and for the long run.
It's just Dolphin. Even my Flip 3 has problems from time to time. Essential Phone, Pixel 3, and Razr 5G are fine playing Dreamcast and PSP games. Flip 3 back being my favorite. Hard to beat Flex mode.

But TBH even when I will most likely preorder Pixel 6, I will laugh at the new smart"watch" disaster.
Would be even funnier if it would not typically be horrible, and I would end up adding it to my cart.

A god, 08 Oct 2021if you are a hipster maybe..but that thing is making you to... moreIf it is a foldable (be it like Samsung flip or Samsung Fold) it folds good enough to be held over ears for phone talk. My wife uses her Samsung Fold as it folds to small phone which she can bring to her ears.
Same is for Samsung Flip that can UNfold to a longer state which can be used to talk over ears.
This is the difference between TABLET and FOLDABLE phone. The foldables are transition between a smartphone and a tablet

They DO experiment a lot (e.g. soli) but their A series are damn good phones with overall STABILITY of high tier. They provide ALL the necessities to the users. You can't call it other than awesome. NO other phone is THAT cheap with THAT much functions and THAT much software support.
All others on that price range don't even get over 1 year support (other than Samsung's phones which get 0 year support on that price range)

Neither did they "MAKE UP" a new operating system. They just did SKIN over google's UI and called it TouchWiz (and then OneUI). So, this is all Google software from start. All they did was to make skin over it and add some functions to make look like they had an effort over it
