Huawei can still sell a decent number of phones of their Pro and Mate lineups even without GMS thanks to their camera, but on mid range phone they got no chance without GMS

MP ?People who think more MP is the better don't know better.
I mean, going under 12Mp is bad, sure, but above 16Mp there is a diminishing return.
The iPhone 13 Pro Max do compete well against the S21 Ultra despite a 108Mp for Samsung vs 12Mp for the iPhone.
Google, Sony and Apple who are serious about photography are into 12Mp sensors.
Ideally you'd want 12Mp main and 16Mp Telephoto (to give an extra cropping/numeric zoom capability) & 16Mp Ultra-Wide (for compensating for the bigger angle) configuration, but except with real computational photography stuff, it doesn't make senses to go higher.

The 8i should have had a dual double punch hole, one on each side.
And the 9 clearly should have had a bigger punch holes, same size as the main camera.
And much more curved edges, if they follow the reverse Fibonacci sequence, they could make 360*4 degrees screen spirals on each sides, the phone would have been perfect this way!
Or almost, as they still lack 0.2Mp black & white + 0.03Mp ToF + 0.1Mp monochrome, and the Ultra-Wide is way too high resolution, they obviously should have put a 4Mp sensor.
Also, they forgot to remove the Jack on the 8i and to put 3500mAh battery over the gimmick 4300mAh one.
Doing that would make the perfect phone, the only phone that deserve the smartphone community who spit on everything non-trending and killed everything good.

Nova 8i complete waste of rsources its just a piece of junk nothing more than e-waste Nova 9 is kind of interesting though with that 50MP RYYB camera but considering it's 4G and most phones in that price ramge offer 5G it's kind of DOA IMO they should bring vanilla P50 to Europe

If there is a Chrismas sale for them I would comsider them, 120Hz Oled ,66w charger and built like huawei is a good deal.
