Leakster: the Dimensity 2000 will be made on the TSMC 4nm node, use Cortex-X2 and Mali-G710

08 October 2021
The new Snapdragon and Exynos will also use the X2, but fabbed on Samsung's 4 nm node.

Only A710 has 32 bit support now, and next years A710 successor is dropping 32 bit support.

"It will feature one Cortex-X2 prime core running at 3.0 GHz, three Cortex-A710 cores and four A510 cores. This is basically the same setup as the Snapdragon 898 and the Exynos 2200 (though these two will be fabbed on Samsung’s 4 nm process instead)."

If that is true, then how can it be v9 based??

TSMC 4nm vs Samsung 4nm. Sounds interesting. If only Mediatek can be more custom ROM-friendly with their chipsets...

I know they aren't the most unbiased, far from it, but seeing others also praise the endurance of the 13PM even for heavier tasks is certainly intriguing. And acc. to this video the 'low-power' mode disables the big cores without affecting the gaming perf too much.

Really happy with my Dimensity 1200 phone, so the 2000 should be a huge jump in GPU performance as mine still uses the old G77-MC9. I hope Android chip designers work with OEMs to introduce a feature similar to iphone's low-power mode where it basically switches off the big (high perf) cores & just runs the LITTLE (high efficiency) cores. The battery life improvements from that should be substantial!!
Anybody knows whats the difference between G7x-MC_ & G7-MP_??

This is mental... Everyone has been waiting for this... Dimensity 2000 series is going to be such a high quality flagship SoC. That I have a feeling that it will overtake the A15 SoC in multicore score. And for the size of die vs performance will in respective ratio out perform on that measure the single core score vs apple. However. There maybe a 400 point difference between Apple single core score and Dimensity. Which is even more impressive with the generational leap by Dimensity. Droid SoC's are far more exciting than any SoC from Apple now.

This is actually a massive generational leap from Droid. And I really really think everyone should really start considering and realizing just how immensity powerful all round these new generation Droid SoC's are.

In many ways Droid SoC's will be overtaking apple this year... This is unreal. But true.

I am seriously very much considering holding out a few months more for a gaming phone with a new generation 898 or 2000 SoC. - Absolutely!

The dimensity 2000 is looking like finally a competitor to Sammy-qualcomm monopoly in the High end chip segment.

Yk these days money is just everything. Once u get rich u just want more. Its how we humans are. We want more. We will never get satisfied. Its just tricks to ge tmore money.
