Still waiting for the SE3 coming. The vintage touch ID and the real full screen, probably the first iphone with the small notch just like what the Samsung does.

I got the new iPhone 13 mini last week. I previously had an iPhone 11 256gb storage. I was looking at the iPhone 13 when I grabbed the mini and asked “ what’s the difference between them” and he pretty much said nothing. They have the same features for the most part, cameras etc. my last phone was great, I loved it but it always seemed so damn big. So to find the Mini was really refreshing. I just adjusted the font to enlarge it and it’s absolutely perfect. I’ve read that the battery doesn’t last as long, but in a week counting 12-18 hr days I’ve never seen it go below 25% and that was only one. Other than that I just plugged it in when I crashed. Also please note I DONT USE MY COMPUTER, SO MY PHONE DOES EVERYTHING FOR ME. SO I DONT SEE A DOWNGRADE IN THE IPHONE 13 mini I see it as an upgrade. If you don’t watch utube or Twitter or watch movies constantly you’ll have the most powerful mini phone on the market that can do all its big brother can do. But to each his own.

Anonymous, 12 Oct 2021Well yeah. Duh the with the smallest battery dies the fastest. It doesn't die faster, the max lasted about two and half days with or without a single charge
I'm pretty sure that the mini will be discontinued for the larger iphone next year cause I feel like it would be an improvement over the mini!
The more batteries get larger, the better the battery life! But other than that, the a15 bionic chip is still an excellent hardware for longer battery life!

It actually didn't take that long to take a photo with night mode, but you can probably drag it to 30 seconds to take a photo, but you have to be patient when the photo is taken in night mode!

Anonymous, 11 Oct 2021Why do they say possibly the last mini iPhone? Cause since the launch of 12mini, there's been various reports that 12mini's sales are mediocre as compared to the full size 12.
Thus there's been rumors since then that Apple might just cancel the mini model for 13, but newer rumors had adjusted that they're likely dropping mini with 14 instead (unless 13mini's sales manage to change their mind).

Gsmarena, could you test whether the iPhone 13 /13 mini camera night mode takes longer than the 12 Pro Max night mode despite the apparently same main camera hardware? When the 12 Pro Max was released, reviewers said that the night mode often takes only 1 second. But that's not the case with the 13 / 13 mini, so I wonder whether Apple made the night mode of the 13 / 13 mini take longer than the 12 Pro max night mode in order to make people buy the 13 Pro / 13 Pro Max.

Will you not be running your battery tests on the regular iPhone sized 13 Pro? That is very disappointing, you tested iPhone 12 Pro last year. And 11 Pro the year before that. This data really helps when comparing phones on your site.

The 13 Mini is a beast. Everything is perfect on this phone except the lightning port but it’s a minor gripe. I’m glad I preordered it even without looking at gsmarena’s review.

Been very satisfied with the 12 Mini 256GB, i was worried the storage was not enough but i bought a 12 Pro Max in addition, and a duplicate SIM. The Pro Max it utterly useless as a device to bring outside, the size is ridiculous and TBH i didnt find the bigger display to give better video experience either, resulting in the 12 Mini to be used for everything and the Pro Max to be only a car dashboard mounted device. But now im not so sure, the 13 Pro with ProMotion and 1TB storage (been waiting so many years for 1TB!) is too good, gonna get that instead this year and hope i will not miss the Mini too much. I can still get a 13 Mini later, 512GB is a very respectable storage.

Incase you're not aware they have the Pro series for such heavy users. Mini is for those who don't use their phone that often.
And for f***s sake, grow up. Some people like android, some like apple. Get over it.
I personally love the iphone but can't stand their Mac's and use linux instead.
