I have had my fold 3 for 1 year to the date and hardly ever open the screen( less than 5 times a day). The screen cracked in the middle and is non responsive for the last month....so really less than 1200 times it was folded and broke...On top of that, it sent it to samsung for a warranty claim and they tried to charge me 518$ to fix it..what a pos...the phone and the company.
Biggest waste of money ever...
Do not buy one....you will be stuck with a broken paper weight.

Anonymous, 14 Oct 2021Battery life terribleThat's anecdotal at best. My fold 3 is still at 80% at 5PM.

Dro, 13 Oct 2021I will never buy any of these until the screen becomes real... moreThey are real glass. The first release was a polymer. This is the newest generation of flexible glass - an amazing engineering feat. The outer gas is Corning Gorilla Glass Victus.

Not interested.
Would like to see Zac Nelson aka Jerryrigeverything to mae proper durability test.
This folding and bending makes no sense.
They can do it with 100 units make a video with al of them and pick one which will last longer than the others.

PeterThePanda, 12 Oct 2021Too bad that the Z3 Flip 3 has mediocre battery life. M... moreThank god you're not in charge of product development for companies like these. The thinness is its selling point .That is why it has flush cameras. It would seriously ruin the user experience to add thickness to this device, just for a couple hours more battery life. It's not hard to get 5-6 hours screen on time, which is enough to make it through a normal day.

Too bad that the Z3 Flip 3 has mediocre battery life.
Maybe if Samsung made it 1 to 2mm thicker unfolded (which I wouldn't mind), they could've squeezed a 4000mAh battery and likely the cameras from the S21 (non-Ultra). It would've been an almost perfect foldable clamshell phone.

Anonymous, 12 Oct 2021I've said it before and I'll say it again-I HATE ... moreMedia questioned Samsung galaxy fold 1 durability but Samsung shocked everyone by making z fold 3 water resistant and spen compatibility. Whereas other Chinese manufacturers gave up pop-up camera after one or two iterations.

200,000 openings and closings may not be enough per day for the majority of screen obsessed phone users we have nowadays, let alone for the five years that the amount tested is supposed to last. Maybe 1,000,000 openings and closings should be a bare minimum figure to begin with ?.

I've said it before and I'll say it again-I HATE the fact the pop-up cameras died because of the overhyped "DuRaBiLiTy / LoNgEvItY concerns" pushed by Utubers and the media.
And that was just the camera, which in case it ever failed you could technically even live without it affecting your daily usage.
Whereas, as bleeding edge as these foldables are and I absolutely love them no doubt about it, in fact if I had that kind of money to spare on a phone I'd have bought the Fold 3 or possibly the Mate X2 (because of its better design and cameras), but the fact that their main selling point is again a moving/folding thing (not motors but with your hands instead) and hardly anyone seems to be concerned about those failing, which if they do, would ruin the whole experience unlike the pop-ups!
I still feel that the Find X is among the most beautiful phones ever made thanks to that pop-up!
