All these chargers have to get certifications. So there is no fire related catastrophe that can occur.
Apple simply interested in making more profits by dumping old charging hardware onto users.

Considering how expensive flagship phones are, the costs could be easily covered. If chinese mid-range phones offer that feature then so can they. Maybe they are trying to avoid a fire related catastrophe like before

Secondly, the materials largely remain the same, but special things are added to the composition, just like putting 1-4% of other elements in regular steel can make it 3-4 times stronger than original or allow it to gain properties that didnt exist in it earlier.

The charger itself is designed in a different way compared to substandard 20W chargers.

[deleted post]Xiaomi realme users cut budgets on quality control. That’s why their phones are cheap to produce, so the risk of failing is much higher. If the phone fails then you’re encouraged to buy one. This shows how shady some brands can be. People compaining left and right of Xiaomi issues, people need to wake up 💁‍♂️

Anonymous, 12 Oct 2021I don’t like this either. Mi 11T Pro battery components are... moreThe battery technology is the same in all batteries that is lithium-ion. If batteries in ultra-fast charging phones were indeed created from different materials enabling higher charge cycles and less heat, then almost every manufacturer would already be using that by now. It's just that some companies push speeds to super fast just to sell more phones and market it as a feature. It perhaps is but only till a certain extent. I see no need for that 120-watts ultra-fast charging just to save like 15 more minutes to a full charge

I know I can just use a slower charger but the problem is that I will have to carry it everywhere which is rather inconvenient. If the phone had an option to set charge speed, then that can solve it but without that I need to use the one that came with the phone and that would most likely be a fast charging one. So either they limit charging speed or enable the option for manual limits because no way I will charge at 120-watts and fry the phone and battery in just a year of use

                                Looks like my s10🙃

[deleted post]The amount it takes to make a phone highly varies on multiple factors, not component costs alone. Those components cost a lot less when ordered in bulk like on iPhones.Didn't I explain it to you in another article??
You compared lower priced Mi 11, not the MI 11 Ultra as usual, showing your bias to make Chinese brand look cheaper.

And Why would he buy overpriced iPhone with 20W charging when a better phone is available with better tech????

Xiaomi 67W charger is available for as low as 30$
If Apple launches 65W charger, they'll surely charge 100$ for that (made out of the same components) while people like you keep falling for marketing of high price.

i0S.- Never.- Again, 12 Oct 2021These aren't your regular cheap batteries used inside ... moreMy wife's mi 10 ultra with 120W charging never went beyond 40°C during charging.
My mi 11 Ultra never goes that high either.

Also the charging is optimized, where it will automatically slow the charging speeds if excess temperatures are detected.
It's premium technology reserved on premium phones, not phones that claim to be premium based on price tag alone (I am looking at you Samsung & Apple)

The charge cycles are higher, there are added stuff to handle higher wattage..
