Microsoft to launch Windows Phone 7.8 update in early 2013

If our WP 7.5 can be update to 7.8, why they don't just do it and keep your mouth shut. All they need is time and plan, make sure 7.8 won't has any problems in our devices!

This is the most obsolete OS in the world. Customers with 7.5 could throw away their device and buy a snapdragon android which is updated very fast. Even you could install modded firmware to keep it updated in seconds. Never buy an old Lumia device.

I knw ths would happen. microsoft phones have died many times before. now phones launched with win os 7 arent getting win8. I think xperia x 10 launched with 1.6 android got 2.3 gingerbread. even 800 mhz and 512 mb ram runs jellybean. in android ur free to customize ur phn if there isnt any update. rooting,custom roms,launchers,unlock bootloaders etc.

update must have blutooth file tranfer so normal user can share files.

Many of you WP7 owners don't even know what you want in an update. This is the only thing you want: update.
Do you have a specific need that you hope to fulfill with newer updates? Some know what they want and come up with "Bluetooth" for example but the majority sound like a bunch of little kids going "UWAAAA UWAAAA UPDATE!"

I really like my Lumia 800, but to try to keep some of the current WP users they should have moved alot quicker! It just smacks of "we've got your money so sod off" As these contract end next year they ll wonder again why the numbers have dropped! It'll be the windows phone 7.5 people leaving. Talk about looking after current and loyal customers!, the very same customers who were not told, until very late again, they wouldnt get the win 8 up date. Well done MS and Nokia

Microsoft once again dissapointed those who bought a 7,5 device, Apple doesn´t do this, when an update comes everyone gets it, we saw nokia lumia 510 with 7,8 so why won´t the rest of us receive it by christmas??? Someone like me who bought a phone early this year won´t change to a lumia 920 or to an htc 8x, MS simply doesn´t care about their customers, i love windows phone for its simplicity but i have to take into account this if i had bought a top android phone or a top Apple phone back them i would have the latest OS update with Windows i´m still stuck into one big update since i bought it. Well i have to wonder if i buy a phone for 2 years i must expect regular updates, few bugs and customer care by the device manufacturer, well i´m not seeing from MS this behavior, if this continues i have to go for a company that gives me what i expect with satisfaction, either an Apple or Top android device like the SIII, HTC One X or Sony Xperia, MS should start thinking on the people that are their fans, customers. MS you made a mess with windows mobile don´t do the same with windows phone, and force the users to go somewhere else...

Nokia, Samsung and any other sucker to launch a Windows 7, 7.5 phone are left to fill in the gaps. Microsoft are the new STEVE JOBS and if your not holding it right then they don't give a crap. best thing you can do is sell the useless unsupported By MS device and get anything android or apple phone not WP8 as MS will abandon that soon enough. before you Wp7, 7.5 handset is ony worth 99p in a yard sale..... (take the lumia 800 sim free £499.00ish now £99.00 with a pay-as-you-go sim card) i sold mine and got out early..PLEASE PLEASE don't leave it too late or you wan't even be able to give it to a 5 year old.

I would be happy Microsoft is bleeding windows in decline. Still an update as 7.8 may be ota.
