Dawid, 15 Oct 2021I had problems with unlocking via apple watch since 14.7 or... moreSame. Up till 14.8, unlocking with watch was incredibly inconsistent and unreliable. With iOS 15, it unlocks every single time without issues while wearing mask. I've noticed Reddit isn't playing well with iOS 15 so I suspect it's the app that's wonky and Do Not Disturb remains on on the watch when it's off on phone (time based) even though I have setting mirroring enabled. But other than this I don't have any special issues with it.

Anonymous, 14 Oct 2021Who uses their phones for 8years lol?? Max is gonna be 4-5... moreReading comprehension man, what even is that? No one said you need to use it for 8 years, but when security updates are delivered for so long, it becomes a non issue entirely. Can you claim the same for ANY Android phone? Of course you will, but I can tell you there is none and most get pathetic 2 years at best.

And you'll be yet again lecturing me. Jesus christ, you're clueless and still insisting on it.

Anonymous, 14 Oct 2021You can simple get an android device that outlasts the IP6S... moreI got an A52 5g by Samsung as a secondary phone to my iPhone 11 and I think it’s is an ok phone but not better than the iPhone. In fact, it is even worse overall even compared to my ancient iPhone 5s. Having a Mac and and iPad, the iPhone 5s makes more sense even as a secondary phone because of the ecosystem. The A52 is of course faster than the 5s but not faster than the 11. But it’s amazing how well the 5s performs for being such an old device. After using the A52 for some months I have seen signs of slowing down. I reckon in a couple of years it will be slower than the iPhone 5s. As I said the A52 is an ok phone but for those who want something to use it for many years it is not the best option. iPhones on the other hand are good and usable after many years. My iPhone 5s is almost ten years old and I still do lots of things on it even today. Like typing this message for example as fast as on my iPhone 11.

Max is gonna be 4-5years, and Apple's software is known for limiting the performance of their old phones, as well as stripping off new features introduced to the newer gen.
Unnecessary squabble

FatShady, 14 Oct 2021i have used phones for years without any security updates, ... moreNewpipe, vanced, torrent apps, etc.
These super useful apps are simply not available on ios.
Android has a rich ecosystem of apps that is simply unmatched because of the open source nature of the OS. iOS has been left into dust.

FatShady, 14 Oct 2021i have used phones for years without any security updates, ... moreOh and I forgot to mention your rant over "dropping versions". When OS support lasts for so long that's entirely a non-issue. Where Android just leaves you on outdated version and then drops you suddenly. I've checked the trends and it's 10 years for both with some apps dropping support early. 10 years is when you can't login to Google or Apple account anymore.

FatShady, 14 Oct 2021i have used phones for years without any security updates, ... moreYou not caring about security updates just shows how much you know about software as a whole, Apple might be getting flamed for being “close-circuited” and “restricting” but one thing they never get flak for is the loss of personal information relating to financial businesses, I have seen at least more than 10 people close to me get their bank account/Passwords stolen even though they didn’t download anything outside of Google Play and weren’t adventurous with their software. All of them were Android users. Plus, the İPhone 6S still got IOS 15 while the oldest phone from Samsung that got Android 12 is the S10 (Which was the İPhone Xs’ rival btw) S10 won’t be getting Android 13 so it’s software lifespan will end at the same time with the İPhone 6S which was released 4 YEARS EARLIER. Finally lets look at the Galaxy S6, the phone that was İPhone 6S’ rival. My friend approached me for smartphone advice since his S6 was lagging while using the HOMESCREEN UI and couldn’t last more than 3 hours of use. So the “Imstalling the latest OS on an arcaic phone will tank its performance/battery” argument is stupid. Since the S6 can’t even handle its wayyyy older OS as well as the İPhone 6S.
