IMO, Xiaomi Pad 5 has richer features and worth to buy. the vanilla iPad is for the one who seeks a simple tablet with basic necessities like reading or browsing that lasts long (vastly better software support).

Xiaomi thinks by promoting it's tab as alternative to ipad they can sell more. Buyer should be aware of such ads.
I already feel bad for those who would fall to such marketing tactics and will buy Xiaomi tablet.

Android Tabs are piece of thrash. These have only paper specifications and they don’t work in real life. Ipad is powerful comes with years of software update. Ipad have its native apps while android tabs have shitty android phone apps, poor ui, ads and slow down over the. Ipad all the way better than android tabs.

Hello Life, 14 Oct 2021A13 runs circles around 870that's the iPad's only hardware advantage; and the 860 (the pro is the one with the 870) is still a powerful chipset able to run almost anything. and the pad 5 has better display, speakers, and battery which is more important in a tablet

The iPad definitely have better software support than the Xiaomi Pad, not forgetting cellular connectivity. However, with Android in hand, the Xiaomi Pad can run games and console emulators.

I have been using ipad (2017) model for 4+ years now and haven't noticed any considerable lag or downgrading. For sure the battery backup has gone a bit south, but that too isn't vividly noticeable. If someone wishes to get a tablet Ipads are hands down the best for performance as well as longevity.

There are three apps, Documents, Notability and Lumafusion that make my iPad the useful productivity device it is. Then of course there are the iWork and iLife apps by Apple which are all very useful. Moving to an Android device, however good a device might be, having not access to all those (and many more) apps is a dealbreaker.

Every manufacturer that uses android has their own skin, software etc., that's why getting updates across is very problematic. iOS does not have this problem because only Apple uses it for their products. No freakin' ads when you turn on your wifi on your phone to install this game, this software etc!
