Still though, watchOS is great, easily the best smartwatch OS on the planet. Apple makes good products, but I hate a lot of their company choices.

Android for smartphones. Windows for computers. Apple? No thanks. And no I'm not a hater. I've used iOS too.

ICS was my overall fav. The icons design, the looks, the blue fade in settings background, the quick settings design, etc. It was the best.

Anonymous, 16 Oct 2021Yes its gone now. Android is future The best option we've had so far, but I'm still hoping for some competition, especially something Linux based but more flexible and less locked down than Android.

It's a fundamental rethink of Android focused on Speed and efficiency.

You have waited all along, wait for 4 more years for Fuchsia OS to debut on phones.

To the majority of people how the OS looks is completely inconsequential, I sell phones for a living and most people couldn't care less what it looks like as long as everything stays where it is and does what it is supposed to do.
I have had very few customers say I don't like the look of that OS as long as they can call text browse and get apps most people in my experience couldn't care less what the icons look like.

L.O.R.D, 16 Oct 2021Now with version 12, Android has become better but when it ... moreI'm grateful we have one less closed source mobile os, especially a Microsoft one.

Now with version 12, Android has become better but when it comes to solely look and feel, then Windows Phone was also really good looking. The entire thing looked neat and refined with it's Live Tiles and neatly arranged menus and interface. It had the potential to complete with Android and iOS and probably emerge to be the best and could have also been developed to be used with Windows just like Apple has created an ecosystem. Microsoft could have let Android apps to be run alongside the Store apps. Blackberry allowed that, though they failed too, but Windows Phone did have some potential there. R.I.P

Android is pretty boring and it would be fun to see some other alternatives.
For example the PinePhone Pro got announced yesterday, would love to see something like that getting covered on GSMArena.

Excellent as long as it is lightweight and bug free

The truth is android is becoming stagnant, i think it's time for a total new rebuild, one that will blow the minds of the user, in this day of technology people want more excitement in their OS.
