Rizwan khan, 15 Oct 2021Most lagging phone i ever used .i bought poco x3 pro 2 mont... more1. Pubg is a good game, but maintained badly by Chinese company Tencent.
2. Always with Chinese software, they aim for more features update rather than making the gaming experience smoother, very bad in optimization. Or you can called Chinese software engineering are far from the western software engineering.
3. There also many factor contributing to the lagging, not just the smartphone itself. Simple network congestion or fail will cause your online gaming lagging, even after a simple game updates will also cause your game suddenly become lagging.
4. If you really want a more stable gaming experience, can try iPhone as the iOS software platform are more unified and easier to optimized than Android counterpart.
The rest depend on your luck. Or better don't play this kind of shit game. This Pubg game are mean for PC and console gaming, not very well optimized for mobile gaming.

But it does not make Xiaomi stopped providing update. Point is, just because the device is capable, it does not make any manufacturer obliged to provide updates.

Since it comes with unlocked bootloader, try getting a friend of yours who knows about it, to sideload another firmware on it, which is community tested for compatiblity.
In other things you can try, keep the internal memory empty. Uninstall apps you do not use. Try disabling default apps that you don't use.

I have a LG G8x with dual 1080p screens and 6GB RAM and SD 855, the same 3 year old software. Guess what, no sir, it doesn't lag.
I also have a Redmi 2 Prime with MIUI version 7 (old). It has most needed things, security app, call recorder, extended log. And with a Snapdragon 410, no sir this one doesn't lag much either even today.
Why don't you understand, MIUI's latest versions are all heavy bloat! If you challenge programmers, they can even make supercomputers hang, and this mobile is tiny, in comparison...

Samsung galaxy Note always released before new Android.
And the 2 OS upgrade is really 1 OS upgrade for the user.

They could probably delay launch a bit so that it can come with Android 12 rather than have 11 and say it will get 12 later. But then it wouldn't get 13 since these devices are up for one OS version update!!

SA007, 14 Oct 20214/64: Less storage! Not everyone uses microSD slots due to ... moreSD Card have A LOT OF OTHERS USES than just expanding the usable memory.
*Easy bootloader/recovery operations without relying on file transfers that aren't always working in this situation.
*Handy way to transfer files, either between multiple devices, to or from someone else.
*Easy way to make backups.
*Can save data from a device who can't boot and for which the USB isn't working.
*Allow to have a rapidly TEMPORARILY expandable memory, useful for photo shooting session.
I have never had any speed issue with SD card speed, heck I have two cheap USB stick on my PC that works as expandable storage for frequent read/write operations to save my SSD and HDDs, and I have never seen any speed issue.
And if people buy cheap and SLOW SD cards they can't then complain that they are slow, there are purposefully made fast cards.
Plus, in which situation does the read speed because THAT important that you'd notice a difference?
Just let the SD card slot in peace without spiting on it, MANY do want it.

4/64: Less storage! Not everyone uses microSD slots due to slower read/write speeds.
8/128: Can't they just make a 6/128 option?(A 4/128 would be appreciated too). I fear this will just drive the storage upgrade cost much higher.
