Too bad. No Amoled on redmi note 11. Also the chipset is comparable to SD720. Should use dimensity 900 for the redmi note 11. And probably dimensity 1100 for the redmi note 11 pro

Hemedans, 17 Oct 2021Lcd tend to be brighter than Amoled though, we had 1000nits... moreYes, LCDs can reach high brightness just add more and stronger LEDs but this will cause much more battery drains, and for HDR content, the OLED can control the bright area and makes it brighter and even brighter than the typical max display brightness.

I know the screen varies a lot between phones, but in my experience with many recent phones with AMOLED and LCD, at the same brightness with full white display, the AMOLED tend to consume little less power than LCD especially over 200 nits.

KondriX, 17 Oct 2021Why people consider the LCD displays inferior to the Amolee... moreSame here, it's the reason I chose the Poco X3 NFC and will be one of the first things I will look for when purchasing next phone. Luckily I don't need flagship performance so still get a choice with IPS LCD screens. Get headaches and eye strain with amoleds (yes even expensive ones) and much prefer how LCDs are to look at. Hope manufacturers continue to produce mid/upper midrange phones with LCD screens.

Shadocx, 17 Oct 2021Oh ok, you're right, but May is still quite far.Yeah, basically they've moved to every five months in China as the note 9 series was in late December last year. I think they outsource the design and manufacture of the note series to ODM companies which is why they can release new models so fast. Personally don't have any problem as long as the newer models are improved upon the previous ones.
