These rugged phones are expensive, low spec, get quickly abandoned and no if any updates.

No thanks.

Anonymous, 18 Oct 2021yup, if it was even an 870, let alone 888, I'd buy it ... moreThat, if the cheap parts used in mobile survives.

Nokia: Introducing our most durable phone ever! It has military certifications and 810H, IP water proofing and Victus glass etc etc

Also Nokia: well we can give you one time free screen replacement if it breaks 😂

They don't have confidence in their own product, that they're offering screen replacement on a phone that's supposed to be rugged

        Just Retire already.

          It caused an earth tremor.

Always a diehard fan of Nokia but damn .... I won't be spending ₹46000 for Snapdragon 480 and battery of 4700. At half the rate I can get better phone. Nokia should have released the phone at ₹25000 but ₹46000 for all the features 🙄🙄🙄🙄.

Very poor price strategy. The company won't occupy top position in Indian market unless & until the co understand market under current !!

While announcement, HMD Global had set the price of this handset at $550. Considering local exchange rate, imports, tariffs and custom duties, was expecting the price in India around INR 39,999. But INR 46,999 is really ridiculous. Even diehard Nokia fans will think twice before paying this amount for the handset. I am not sure if they will able to sale 4,699 units at this price here. Earlier, they had launched low end C & G series phones with Unisoc and Mediatek chipset phones between $120 to$180. Now they are directly jumping to $620.
Couple of years back, Blackberry had launched their BB Z10 at INR 42,999. Within few months, the price was dropped to INR 29,999 and again to INR 17,999. Surely this phone will also have the same fate. By Chrismas, this handset will be down to INR 32,999 and during Valentines Day Sale, it will available around INR 19,999.

Vikass17, 18 Oct 2021Does making phone tough really cost that much? What's... moreOr just buy a case and screen protector for your phone, which should only cost you a few bucks but can achieve almost the same level of protection.

That's like saying "why do you need Jeep/Humvee for track road? Just get twingo and buy another one when it broke".

Maybe that price is for a pack of 3

Vikass17, 18 Oct 2021Does making phone tough really cost that much? What's... morePlus you can just buy a case. Also even if the phone already is rugged and armored up. Id still like to add case over it. Either be plastic (strong plaatic not cheap plastic) or metal or stainless steel. Which ever. Just to add more armor to it but also not damage the phone itself by dents, scratches, and so on and maybe even a crack on the metal. Incase of a very hard impact or some vehicle runs it over and cracks the metal. Its unlikely to survive but some phones do survive depends on many things. ANYFWAYS id still add armor. Besides. If you already have body armor. Why not add more😇

What's the point of buying rugged phone , when price is 4 times over the normal one?
Isn't it better to just buy a new one when your phone is broken ?
