Thant is 1050 range, and if you multiply that with 3x the performance they are mentioning now for the M1Max you get the lovel of an 1080. Maybe I am wrong, but thats what I have noticed od the M1.

Meanwhile Microsoft just introduced Surface Studio with a price very similar to Mac Pro for a base model (about 1800 dollars) but can hardly edit video, it's just a life style device ... you see how behind they are... Then if you upgrade to something like Geforce RTX it goes over 2500 dollars but still cannot beat the Mac Pro in performance. But at 2500 one can get the one with M1 MAX.

This alone mostly justifies the price tag the new Macbook Pro 16 carries, but on top of that you get an extremely efficient and performant CPU, 120Hz Mini LED display with 1000 nits of sustained brightness, 3 TB4 ports, long lasting battery, 1080p webcam, the best speakers and the microphones on a laptop, an 3.5mm output that can drive high impedance headphones, and a solid state trackpad which many reviewer agree to be the best on an ultrabook.
This product may be not for you, but you cannot possibly claim this is overpriced when this laptop has EVERYTHING creative professionals have been wanting on their laptops. Pros were demanding Apple to deliver the PRO GRADE machine with no compromise in hardware, and Apple delivered one.
And NO, 'I can build a faster PC with more RAM and SSD' is NOT a valid argument. Laptops are all about PORTABILITY. If you cannot carry it around with you then what is the point?
