rizki1, 20 Oct 2021I might agree with the camera but who know when it reviews,... moreBut it has desktop mode which Sammy shit doesn't have.

It seems a good device, presumably its price will decide its fate, and it looks a bit high for a bet. They should have been more aggressive on pricing. Will Honor support the device for many years? Why debuting with 4.2 software instead of 5? How will it be after sale support? Looking forward to it, but too many doubts come to my mind. It also need reviews as soon as possible. Looks ugly on the back, the camera setup is too much garish.

I hate to say the Honor 50 will be DOA in Malaysia, but things are not looking rosy for the brand. First, the Honor 50 is more expensive than even Samsung A52s 5G (MYR1999 vs 1899 for 8/256) while lacking quite a lot of features like OIS, stereo speakers and IP ratings.

Second, the reception is noticeably lukewarm on all the e-commerce platforms for the Honor 50 first sale despite early bird gifts, which reminds me of the Huawei Nova 8i equally slow first sale. Certainly can't compare to first sale of Poco F3 or Realme GT being sold out within minutes they went on sale.

And also more freedom with custom rom compatibility

Xiaomi is making more and more compromises with the jack and even the battery capacity.

Anyways, I surprised as well as they choose Malaysia as their first market to launch phone with gms.

Mi 11 Lite 5G or NE is better and it's $300.

It's around 20% in most European countries. I think the SST in Malaysia is just 6% so if a phone is around the equivalent of $400 dollars in Malaysia, and sells for the same price in Europe it would be around around $455 after VAT. That accounts for some of the difference. I guess the cost of doing business in Europe will be higher as well
