As many know on here I hate OLED due to the use of PWM. Lately more and more PWM also creeped into the LCD market, leaving hardly any options for me personally and a lot of others. Companies should stop using this harmful technique as it destroys eyes/ lives.

sorry, but OLED has a lot of drawbacks. Nasty PWM ratings all over the board, pentile arrangements and low quality panels that are sold like they are high quality.

I'll take a good LCD, like the ones that LG G7, HTC U11, Xiaomi Mi 10t pro and the Xperia XZ2, over AMOLED panels any day

I am not 100% sure about this, but from what I recall, not only have Oled displays reached price parity with lcds, they have even become cheaper now, and that’s partially thanks to sub pixel rendering.

Sure that brands like Samsung and ASUS use an OLED panel on some of their recent high-end laptops, but LCD is still the better choice because of its battery efficiency and better colour gamut.

I still remember the old days of Sony and Apple fanboys making fun of Samsung's Oled display because it had lower ppi and saturated colours lol

I had a debate with people who said OLED and AMOLED are the same, and here's an explanation for you.

The worst thing about oleds is the use of subpixel rendering making 1080 displays look less sharp than their lcd counterparts. since most phones use 1080p displays, we have gone backwards, especially if you have used a 1440p lcd.
