Weekly poll results: the Realme GT Neo2 eyed with doubt

24 October 2021
People were not 100% convinced that this is the right GT for them.

I chose No. I had used Realme GT Master Edition 256 GB / 8 GB, so no need for me to buy Realme GT Neo2. Camera features also the same. It just come with better cooling vapor, better processor and bigger battery. By the way I prefer under 5.000 mAh battery.

      realme makes consumer fools

Ibn Batuta, 24 Oct 2021"However, games were capped at 60fps so you’re not get... moreThe problem is that very few Android mobile games have support for a high refresh rate screen in the first place. That is why, despite the 120Hz screen, you aren't getting its full refresh rate. No surprise why some people choose to stay at 60Hz all the time, including me.

I think it's a phone that offers nothing beyond the good chipset, BUT I think the poll question "Is the realme GT Neo2 your next phone?" is a bit unfair. If people bought a new phone recently and are not planning to buy any new one until perhaps later next year, by that time there are obviously going to be better choices so they are not going to vote 'yes' even if it looks like a good deal for them.

The poll question should have been "Is the Realme GT Neo2 a good deal" or something like that.

The phone is good but the screen isn't color accurate. That's why, I cancelled my order the moment I read GSMA review.

Nicely summarised. As a consumer we boycott phones with no headphone jack and sdcard slot. Also these Chinese manufacturers need to release kernel sources boot loader unlock methods

I would comment on the title and would say - entire REALME brand is with doubts.
Many buyers in India don't know that it's nothing but an OPPO phone ( rather a VIVO / BBK). But blindly coz of features at low prices it sells in numbers ( most buyers know nothing about its software support).
Plus retailers misguide buyers by saying - oh it's a Redmi family phone ( have seen this happening at few outlets in Gujarat state, India). The name REALME itself is a proof of this strategy. And retailers do this coz BBK gives them higher profit margins compared to other phone companies. Everyone wants to earn more money. This strategy of bbk works.

Because of repeated average cameras. 8+2 combo is boring

                          Ah another Realme copy paste.

Can't vote sadly, unless I turn off Ghostery.

"Realme has other series that focus on the camera."

                            LOLLLL.

Realme's other phones have terrible cameras

Main cam with no OIS, 8 MP Crappy ultrawide, 2 MP macro, 2 MP depth

The only Realme phones with good cameras is the Realme Gt Master Explorer edition, which is GT????? So there's no other series, but only other phone

Realme X3 Superzoom has an periscope lens sure, but image quality out of all the cams are Average

"However, games were capped at 60fps so you’re not getting the full 120Hz experience from the screen. Of course, the GT series are all about performance and gaming"..... contradicting their own statement

I purchased the Chinese version of the original Neo, but sold it due to the ROM being terrible. However, it was a great all-round device. The camera was great with Gcam, despite the MediaTek chip. Given that the Neo2T will be a copy of the original Neo and will be cheaper than the Neo2, I think it's a better buy. The 2T will also be significantly cheaper than the Nord 2 and it will have a 120Hz rather than the 90Hz display on the Nord 2. It's one to keep an eye out for.

With the breakneck speed that realme releases phones to replace "older" models, is it even possible for them to keep their OS bug-free for all phones? That aside, they decided not to sell anything "flagship killer" or up in my country, only a bunch of entry-level phones which lose out in value vs their xiaomi/poco alternatives.
