DarkArtisan, 23 Oct 2021I'm an owner of the big Huawei Mate 20X phablet myself... moreAbsolutely agree I bought 2 I was scared nothing was going to be better and they would stop selling
Maybe the honor 20xmax or 30xmax will compete
But will they be as good the speakers. Are. Amazing on the mate 20x size prefect and battery. Decent
Lets. Hope

DarkArtisan, 23 Oct 2021I'm an owner of the big Huawei Mate 20X phablet myself... moreFoldable phones so far have been a terrible alternative to a Mate 20x. The screen ratio on the Galaxy Z Folds for example is all wrong, 159 X 128 unfolded whereas the Mate 20x in landscape mode is about 174cm wide so you get much more screen real estate when watching video content. On the foldables the top and bottom of the screen becomes dead space when watching videos.

DarkArtisan, 23 Oct 2021I'm an owner of the big Huawei Mate 20X phablet myself... moreI agree with u.. I bought my mate 20x and would never change it unless another 7.2 inch phone out there with better features

I'm an owner of the big Huawei Mate 20X phablet myself. I usually change my phone every year and a half but having owned a Mate 20X since it launched, I've not seen any other phone that matches it, compared to size and features, hence still using it today. All of the companies are gurgling out similar phones, screen size around about the 6.7" size and having tried some out, feels like a step down from the 7.2" Mate 20X. Why has no manufacturer tried to emulate the Mate 20X, there is clearly a gap in the market for a phablet phone. Foldables are not an immediate solution, still too early for a good value and reliable foldable phone, perhaps in the next few years when they get the screen and hinge vulnerability issues sorted out.

we need desperately something like the Honor x30 Max, there's no phablet phones in the market anymore since a long time.
I really thought that this segment will be taking over a few years ago but manufacturers have not given us anything anymore.

Nothing like a phablet for the car and people who rarely put their phones in their pockets even though is still possible.

Kal-el, 22 Oct 2021Who's to say they won't?Arrr sry, read your post as the vibrate function did not function.

BigDisplay, 22 Oct 2021Well spoken... Btw my M20X have vibrate function working 👍🏻Mine is working. It's just never been powerful enough. Phones 20yrs ago had better vibrate. I can't even feel it in my pocket so I bought a Huawei Watch Fit so I could feel it on my arm. Guess what. It's equally as rubbish. Love my Huawei, hate their haptics.

I wish they released the X30 Max globally. I'd love to use a large phone like that.

BigDisplay, 22 Oct 2021Same as you, did not hear they changed name for x20 max to ... moreI totally agree. The Mate 20x (4g, the 5g version is inferior) is still rocking it despite being released in 2018. Amazing phone with only one flaw. The haptic feedback is terrible. As are all Huawei phones. Vibrate? What vibrate! 😆 I am so sick of seeing phones with a 6.67" screen. As soon as I see that I don't even bother reading the rest of the specs. Even worse if it's curved as the curved edges basically become dead space. Sorry but I'm not a fan of my YouTube videos or my web page text falling off the edge of my phone. Whoever thought this feature defined a premium phone needs taken out the into the Nevada desert never to be seen again. I just wish one of these multitude of companies would just take the template for the Mate 20x and improve on it. Preferably a company that can still use Google because despite what anyone thinks of them good or bad, having Google apps and a Play store just makes owning an Android phone much easier and way more fun. As Beyonce would say, 'Who run the world?.....Google"

I had mate 20x for some years buy it crashedn6 month ago, dropped it 4 floors down, nothing big happens, i thought, had som few minor scratches, but the next 2 days the display got a blue color which spread all over 🤔
Then i bought s21 ultra, it was to small and i kicked it out of the house.
Then i bought mi 11 ultra which i like little more, but i bought a brand new mate 20x again some month ago, its still my dear love.
So if no big x20/x30, i keep my Mi 11 ultra and mate 20x, but need a new big phone now 😇
Its annoying most phones is in the same few sizes 😠

This spec list is rather disappointing, but I'm not surprised since they had the history of selling Dimensity 800U devices at 2999-3299 CNY (470-516 USD) and Dimensity 1000+ devices at 3599-3999 CNY (563-626 USD), when other manufacturers are trying to push Snapdragon 870 devices under 300 USD.

Maybe the X20 Max will become the X30 Max Pro? I was also looking forward to buy the X20 Max. Hopefully the rumored X30 Max specs are wrong and we get X20 Max specs. Maybe by the time it goes global some other brands might introduce a 7" midrange or flagship phone by Christmas. I don't understand why a 7" phone is so rare nowadays since Apple and Samsung have proved there is demand for large phones.
