it is not surprising, in ihe eyes of a buyer, he will be getting the app store (features of ios devices) at the cost of a Symbian phone...
so most of them will choose android!!!!!!!!!!

There are 1.1 billion "cellphones" in China... and 90% of the "smartphones" are running Android.. smartphone is a cellphone, yes, but a cellphone is not always a smartphone... so we would need the number of smartphones in China to calculate the number of android ones

Android Runs on Different Hardware like Samsung, LG, HTC, Sony, MoTorola and other Brands, Low phones and High end smartphones. Apple ios only Runs on Iphone Hardware that's why runs so smooth and fast. But Android is Transformer. LOV ANDROID...

What I always find interesting is that china is such a large smartphone market and they all love great droid phones yet they export so many crappy knockoffs lol

Apple stole XEROX' IP,(thought they) got away with it. Only to be done in by the people of the world. The world market.. More let's add up the test of the Nations off the world..... Android, despite Apple, and Microsoft collaborating together and teaming up against Android, ROCKS...... By the way, justice is complete re: Apple, when Apple pays XEROX the billions that by now any fair court will assess.

Interesting stats. Yes, I assume a lot of these android devices (most) are Go-phone/MetroPCS/prepaid quality devices. Much less pricey compared to the midrange and flagship devices we in Europe, UK and North America use more prominently.
Why do you think Nokia is trying to push Asha and make inexpensive WP devices?
I'd like to see the Version stats on those androids.My money is on a ton of Froyo and lightweight Gingerbread.

This article speaks about the rising Smartphone sales in china. Takes into account the smartphone o/s , so it would be ios/android/bb/symbian/bada/meego/wp etc etc..
Why do you need the brand for the above comparision? at the end its the o/s which takes the share , this article is not to list the brand wise sales anyway.
Please don't add up your disappointment towards GSM being biased.
