- Although of course Apple is fixing things with iMaps slowly and mostly in US (maybe even in EU) but you need to think about iPee5 will be available in over 100 countries and it will take years to fix iMaps globaly. In the meantime Google maps will have more and more features so it might take forever for iMaps to catch Gmaps.
- Purple Haze is common to any digital camera and that is not the issue here. The issue is how easier it is to produce one and how dominant it could be with iPee5. This is just staggering.
Of course you can always shoot away from a strong light source but then two of the iPhone5 "features" - HDR and Panorama (Apple so strongly advertizes) - will fall short. With Panorama you have much more chance to catch the light source and with HDR you basically need to shoot into the light to get the strong contrast.
Anyways, I'm more of a Note 2 fan than of S3.

U make me laught loudly coz my s3 is fighting with keys and evrything in my pocket, beside my 1.5 years kid's new teeth (he tried evry new tooth on my phone) and that was since 28 may
Result is just 2 small dents( proud with my kid's dents) over the back cover ( replaceable) .

and your surprised. personally S3 is far superior to iphone5. in many ways. and android os best on the planet. apples mistake was to use same design. and now johnny ives at the design r&d. the new iphone 6 will be amazing. but having said so will Galaxy S4. truely groundbreaking.

As more iPhone 5 stock becomes avalible, it will sell alot more. Plus iPhone isn't even avalible world wide, its hitting 55 more countires this week. Give it a month or so and then see :)

truth, 04 Dec 2012Purple tint is the fault of Sony Lens which iphone uses.Purple tint is the fault of Apple choosing to make the camera slimmer with saphire lens, it s a trade off. Dont blame Sony, fanboy.

It means the phone loses some features that I didn't use at all and runs great. I just could not justify upgrading to the SGS 3 as it was underwhelming with a screen I found to be too large.

If i had to fill in a survey saying what is most popular smartfone where you are i would have to say Blackberry still.I am using sgs2 ATM sgs3 too big for me.
Anyone see Gadget Show last night they rubbished the iphone.

The 4S was a big seller and it is never really worth upgrading from one model to the next. 2 year contracts are common as well. All of my friends have at least an iPhone 4, and are not eligible to upgrade yet.
The 5 doesn't offer as many reasons to upgrade over the 4s as well, which you'll find has been the same with the SGS3 when SGS2 owners had the chance.
I didn't upgrade from the SGS2 because it wasn't worth it just for a faster processor and bigger screen. I instead rooted it.

Anonymous, 04 Dec 2012We've been in a recession, so it's no wonder that the 4S is... moreNot here in England it isn't.When the iPhone 4s first came out,I must have had at least half a dozen people in the first day show me their new iPhones thinking they were the only person in the whole world who had one.Since the iPhone 5 came out,I've had just one person show it to me (I fit hands free car kits so get a lot of this sort of thing).Face the statistics and real world facts,iPhones just aren't selling like they used to once their previous owners find out there's more to life than an overpriced locked down operating system.

Maps has fixed many of the glitches and works very well in tandem with Siri. Not bad for a maps program that's just recently been launched. Show me Google Maps in its first few months. Purple lens flare has proven to be evident in some form on even the SG3 so that fanboy criticism is invalid.

We've been in a recession, so it's no wonder that the 4S is seen as a good alternative. I don't know of anyone who asks which Samsung phone people have as its just another brand. The iPhone is still seen as the phone to have here by the general public. Samsung has been gaining ground here for years though.
